Over three years ago, we sold this fantastic giant automaton (see below for the information we posted then). The buyer is now moving and can no longer house her so we bought her back! Available again - DM for details and full info!

Won’t mean much to those who don’t come from Sarf London or who weren’t around in the 70s and 80s but this automaton figure was one of several characters (she was next to the central character, Miss Lewisham, who we sold a couple of years back) who were featured on the huge Lewisham Shopping Centre ‘Figure Clock’. There were originally 10 or 12 different automata who appeared from behind their screens and performed their routines for a few minutes while a little tune played every hour on the hour. Nobody knew where the figures had got to until Miss Lewisham appeared on the market and we snapped her up (see our ‘Highlights’). They are sometimes referred to as the Lost Figures Of Lewisham. Well, we found another one! These are big heavy automata and this Salvation Army figure is almost certainly the biggest of the lot! She has two motors, one to move her head and the other to play her drum - both work but both need to be checked over by a qualified electrician as, soon after this little film was taken, it tripped the electric in the office! Approx 4’3” in height, she takes two people to move her! If you lived or live in Lewisham and you want a bit of nostalgia - get in touch!

My new absolute favourite. A wonderful folk art decoy duck brimming with personality. This is a rarer ‘stick-up’ or ‘confidence’ decoy that sits up which also makes it great for display. Late 19th/early 20thC in really well used condition but still has enough paint to show how talented the maker was. He is bloody charming.

Got one more of the larger size haberdashery drawers from the recent tailors shop clearance. Lovely Art Deco look with 20 drawers and in great, vintage condition. Ideal as a tortoise display but I guess other uses could be found. 🤷‍♂️ DM me for price, deets, or more photos.
