Malby Maps also appear occasionally at Covent Garden (W1) at the weekly antique market held in the Jubilee Market. And at various events across the UK. Here we have an 1850 antique map of London by Henry G Collins and George Philip, drawn and engraved by J.Archer, titled Gilbert’s New Map of London for 1850 and also an 1839 version of Cruchley’s New Plan of London in miniature improved to 1839.

A fine copy of James Wylds’s Map of Ireland - 1853 - divided into the Provinces and Counties with hand colouring. The map also sets out the Great and Cross roads with the distances of the principal Towns’ from Dublin.

Please do get in touch if you’re looking for original poverty maps by Charles Booth. This example is Map L - Westminster and Pimlico (1900) poverty map by Charles Booth (and Edward Stanford) published c1903. His work colour coded the streets according to the social condition of inhabitants as under (i) lowest class (in black) through to (vii) wealthy (in yellow).
