There is a face I have at 4am that I do not put on the internet.
Puffy. Marked from the pillow. The bad-sleep face, the up-with-Ansh face, the I-cried-yesterday face. Most mornings before anyone else is awake, I stand in front of the mirror and meet it.
Then I reach for this.
📌 Kansa gua sha. Cool against the skin. Heavier than it looks. The metal is older than most things we still use daily — 78% copper and 22% tin, the same alloy temple bells are made of.
I am not going to tell you it changes my face. I am going to tell you it changes the five minutes after I pick it up. Slow strokes along the jaw. Up the neck. Under the eyes, gentle. The puffiness softens, eventually. But what shifts first is me.
It is the smallest ritual I have. It is also the one I have not skipped since beginning.
The kansa gua sha lives in my house. Link in bio if you’d like one in yours. 🔗
