There is something about the combination of soft cornflower blues in the snake pattern rug and the leading edge of the curtain that really anchors this dining room.

In styling we always talk about restraint, knowing when to stop is as important as knowing what to add. Here it is perfect. The last thing you want is to distract from those elegant double height ceilings in this beautiful glass extension, the architecture speaks for itself.

Everyone is talking about Wow House! I had a sneaky peek at the WOW House! Last week and  again at a lovely evening event with Young Huh and Benjamin Moore. Roaming through the rooms a second time while they were empty was a real treat, every time I went into the rooms I spotted something different. 

Each room tells a different tale. So much inspiration packed into every room, the detail is just extraordinary. From ceiling to floor, tassels to upholstery, every corner has been considered. As a set designer I was blown away with the detail and finish and came away with so many ideas. Created by some of the world's leading interior designers and brands.

A few of my favourites below.

1-3 The Minhwa Salon by & was a festival of colour with a hint of Mondrian, a meeting of old Korean folk tales and Minhwa modernism. also used Benjamin Moore paint to create the fabulous Minhwa inspired wallpaper. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

4.Rich red, Garden Folly Room by

There was no chance I could find a location with a yellow kitchen paired with this fabulous terrazzo stone floor . 💛☀️

We transformed the actual kitchen at .co.uk  which was all natural wood into this zingy yellow space. .art made custom frame covers on the cupboards, creating a saturated yellow kitchen without touching the bones of the room.

As it's Chelsea this week! A collection of floral arrangements I created.

I create almost all the floral arrangements on my shoots myself, it's one of my favourite parts of the job.

I'm always happiest doing it myself.
In another life? Definitely a florist. 🌼

For large garlands and wreaths I sometimes bring in a fabulous florist, mainly as you really can't be everywhere on set, there are so many time pressures on a shoot.

Finding the right location for a shoot is only half the job. Whether it's editorial or a commercial campaign, the space rarely has enough rooms to cover everything you need,  so you learn to get creative.

For this one, we added a wall in front of the shelving unit (thank you to my brilliant set builder 🙌) the very same wall where I styled those colourful ceramics you saw in my last post.👉
We kept the beautiful window detail at the top and added a colourful mural to completely transform the feel.

From there, it was all about planning the shoot order carefully so we could put the location back to its original state by the end of the shoot. A completely different look, same space.

It's actually part of the fun of being a set designer and stylist!

Did I mention the bed headboard was also made by Rob the set builder especially for this shoot. It weighed a tone!

Finding a location big enough to fit this gorgeous velvet sofa was tricky, not to mention a location I could paint for the shoot. And narrowing down the huge selection of modern artwork! I could have created five versions of this gallery wall!
I did squeeze in a lovely landscape my grandmother painted of her home in Trinidad. And a lovely piece by my assistant on the shoot 😘🖌️
