Oh beautiful blossoms! I’ve just finished the new bag today, and she’s a whole new shape with a whole new finish. I’ve done maths and everything! I also really need to write the pattern down…

I’m a little obsessed, she’s a boost to my confidence I didn’t realise I needed until I wove in the final end, and sent a snap off to my most reliable critics for feedback.

A heartfelt throwback…

With everything 2026 has chucked at me, and the way we are scrabbling as small businesses to survive the current climate - where I’m trying my hardest to not close down, I decided not to risk the hours I pour into my heirloom embroidered Easter eggs…

But I feel a bit down because I really love seeing them appear from my imagination, and I miss them!

So, what do we say? Shall I bring a new collection out for 2027? Would that make us all happy?

Because let’s be honest, the world is a bin fire, but I truly do believe that means even more that we deserve beautiful things to treasure.

I personally feel that a week starts better at this time of year if Mini Eggs are involved… even if that’s just because you get to eat your props and call it “commitment to content”!

It’s my business birthday! LLGT officially opened today, 8 whole years ago. Before a pandemic, before my greys, before my sidestep into carer life, before I knew most of you!

I’ve grown a lot, and come a long way, since first pushed me into making it all official. I’m so proud of the emergence of my style, and the number of beautiful things I’ve made for so many people, for leaning into backing myself and sticking to my guns and slow making pieces I absolutely believe in ❤️

Thanks for sticking around, for joining the mad crowd, for the chats, for the orders, and for the joy!

What is that light in the sky…? Could it be, wait, is it, could it really be, the sun…?

Light and colour are slowly coming back to us, the eve of a new season is here.

And with it, the return of my bag collection. Sunflowers and Daisies, joy in every stitch.

Slightly delayed (we’re having a family day before the big little goes on his school residential on Monday) til Monday 2nd March. But set your reminders, and come back tomorrow night to search out a little surprise for the fastest fingers.

When life has taken the crochet away, and suddenly it’s the end of January…

I’ve never had this long off. I feel so strange. But for the commitment and focus it gave me to be able to walk into the tribunal hearing and have achieved the win against the Department for Work and Pensions? Well that’s the sacrifice worth making. Giving our little boy the recognition of his disabilities, not us being gaslit and them blaming him for things his body and brain simply cannot control.

This win is as much for you, the community, the village, we’ve built here - your support has given me the space to be his Mama, his dedicated carer, his unwavering advocate and biggest cheerleader. So many of you rallied support over the last 12 months. It’s no exaggeration to say that I am grateful and humbled by this.

So I’m making my way back. I’m not sure exactly how yet, but crochet matters to me. And in a time of the world when everything seems to be burning, I need to find elegance and beauty and pretty things still.

I hope you’ll stay along for the next part?
