Kicking off our stallholder countdown on a showery afternoon ahead of our Summer Makers Fair on Saturday 27 June is Muswell Hill based ceramacist Nicky .⁠

⁠Nicky's functional and whimsical table ware ceramics are designed to bring moments of joy using delicate porcelain, tranquil glazes and on some pieces, comedic ducks! ⁠

Such an inspiring morning spent in the very grand Council Chamber in the newly restored Hornsey Town Hall, Crouch End. ✨

The dream team of Patricia and .uk led a really thought-provoking and ideas generating session on the power of storytelling for creative businesses where you’ll find work by members of Muswell Hill Creatives and .

Big thanks to all the creative people who took time out to spend the morning with us. It was a joy to see so many familiar and new faces from the London creative community and further afield!

If you attended, we’ll be in touch about follow up actions in due course 📝

And finally thank you to and .people for hosting us. We’ll be back in the Hornsey Town Hall on Saturday 17 October with our Make and Mend Festival and then on Sunday 6 December for our Winter Makers Market.

In the meantime, don’t miss all the brilliant action taking place in and outside of the Hall this coming weekend! Including a summer market in the Assembly Hall.

Leather repairs undertaken with great skill and care by Steph Rubbo Saddlery and Leather Work

The most common repairs I get asked about are bag straps/fastenings and belts. Over the years I have had items as varied as binoculars, hat boxes, collar boxes, an oxen yoke, tool rolls, trunk handles all come across my workbench.

We're very excited to have three of our members participate in 's June Group Show.⁠

✨️: Kate is a Muswell Hill-based ceramicist. Inspired by the simplicity of Japanese, Korean and Scandinavian design, her work encompasses decorative, sculptural and functional pieces, utilising a variety of stoneware and porcelain clay bodies. The clean lines of her forms and subtle glaze palette emphasise the beauty of the underlying clay.⁠

✨️Emmanuel Tomking, : Growing up on a tropical island shaped Emmanuel’s respect for wood and its natural artistry. He hand‑turns each piece from salvaged wood, revealing calming grains and unique forms. ​Each grain becomes a story—guided by memory, inspired by nature, and refined to honour his clients’ taste.⁠

✨️Serean Williamson, : Serean is a fused glass artist and jeweller inspired by colour, texture and light. Using powdered, crushed and sheet art glass in her North London studio, she creates statement freestanding and wall art that captures the movement of glass when in the kiln.⁠
