One of our hardest working garments, the Workers can be reimagined for spring/summer, autumn/winter by switching up your choice of fabric, and endlessly customised with a pleat, double front, pin tuck, or even turned into shorts… 💭

This is a special visit, our own Hetty taught shirt making classes here before founding The Modern Sewing Co. 🤍 No, this isn’t a haberdashery alone - Ray Stitch hosts in-person workshops on everything from quilting to pattern cutting. We definitely recommend taking a look if you’re planning a trip to London, or live locally! ✂️🧵

Big news: we’re often asked to recommend fabric and haberdashery shops, but as our community are based all over the world, we find it hard to recommend shops in other countries. So, we’ve create The Fabric Map, a shared map where we can all find new stores and add local recommendations for our fellow sewists, too! 📰
