KSENOI is an independent creative collective that celebrates and supports emerging artists. Rooted in the belief that art has the power to heal and create communities, KSENOI serves as a community for artists to express their unique identities and share their personal journeys as well as foster new connections. Though the word ksenos is often translated today as “stranger” or “foreigner,” its root

s in ancient Greece tell a different story. Traditionally, ksenos meant “guest” or even “friend,” embodying the spirit of filoxenia—the Greek ethos of hospitality and generosity. KSENOI rewrites this narrative, redefining what it means to be a kseno by reconciling with the idea of otherness and bringing the warmth of filoxenia to the forefront. Through exhibitions, workshops, zines, research groups and community engagement, KSENOI delves into the deeply personal yet universal themes of identity, belonging, heritage and immigration. It offers a safe space for meaningful dialogue and connections between artists and audiences. The collective was formed through a group exhibition in London in 2023, which brought together over 400 attendees and sparked a vibrant, growing community. As KSENOI prepares for its next chapter in Athens in September 2025, it continues to expand its mission—to empower, collaborate, and build bridges through the transformative power of art.

Το KSENOI PROJECTS και η Σχεδία προσκαλούν καλλιτέχνες που ζουν στην Ελλάδα, καθώς και Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες του εξωτερικού, να υποβάλουν έργα για την επόμενη ομαδική έκθεσή μας OIKOS: A place in between.

Αναζητούμε έργα από διαφορετικά καλλιτεχνικά μέσα —ζωγραφική, γλυπτική, φωτογραφία, εγκαταστάσεις, βίντεο, ήχο, ψηφιακά μέσα και άλλες μορφές καλλιτεχνικής έκφρασης — που
προσεγγίζουν την έννοια του “σπιτιού” ως κάτι ρευστό, προσωπικό και διαρκώς υπό διαμόρφωση.

Για κάποιους, το σπίτι είναι ένας φυσικός τόπος. Για άλλους, είναι μια ανάμνηση, μια γλώσσα, μια κοινότητα ή μια αίσθηση του ανήκειν. Σε έναν κόσμο όπου η μετακίνηση, η μετανάστευση, ο εκτοπισμός και η κοινωνική αβεβαιότητα αποτελούν μέρος της καθημερινότητας πολλών ανθρώπων, η έννοια του σπιτιού γίνεται ολοένα πιο σύνθετη και προσωπική.

Η έκθεση επιδιώκει να ανοίξει έναν διάλογο γύρω από το τι σημαίνει να βρίσκεσαι “σε ένα σπίτι”, να το χάνεις, να το επαναπροσδιορίζεις ή να το δημιουργείς εκ νέου.

KSENOI PROJECTS and Shedia invite artists living in Greece, as well as Greek artists based abroad, to submit work for our upcoming group exhibition, OIKOS: A Place in Between.

We are seeking works across a wide range of artistic media—including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video, sound, digital media, and other forms of artistic expression—that explore the idea of home as something fluid, deeply personal, and constantly evolving.

For some, home is a physical place. For others, it is a memory, a language, a community, or a sense of belonging. In a world shaped by mobility, migration, displacement, and social uncertainty, the meaning of home has become increasingly complex and deeply personal. This exhibition aims to open a dialogue around what it means to be at home—to lose it, redefine it, or recreate it.

We are so exciting to partner with .streetpaper for our next creative workshop in Athens.

Part of the proceeds from the tickets will be donated to Shedia, Greece’s street paper supporting people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion.

In addition to being a special opportunity for people, Shedia is a means of activation and social (re)integration, ultimately aligning with KSENOI goals to befriend and embrace anyone that feels like an outsider.

Come draw with us and explore the idea of identity through collective reflection and fun, alternative drawing exercises, open to all!
