An exploded axonometric of Aldersbrook. This type of drawing pulls a building apart along a central axis, separating each layer — structure, walls, floor, roof — while keeping everything in its correct spatial relationship. A way of understanding how a home comes together, one considered layer at a time.

Rooted in everyday ritual. We design by understanding how people move through a space, the rhythms they settle into, the needs that shift over time. Details that only reveal themselves over time, in a space that grows with you.

The simplest palette: timber, and the light that moves through it.

Both materials in their own way - the enduring honesty of exposed timber, and the shifting quality of natural light filtered through the timber below the rooflights. Together they define a living room that is shadowy and still, and a dining space that is bright and open.
