The Arts front takes its cue from 1920s and ‘30s design, when everyday objects were expected to look as good as they worked. Here it’s shown in a polished brass-effect finish on the Gazco Logic gas inset fire by Stovax & Gazco

The Logic is a glass-fronted inset gas fire that suits a range of chimney and flue types. You can choose a coal or log fuel effect and manual, slide or remote control. The Arts front also comes in polished chrome-effect, Highlight Polished and matt black, so it can be matched to a period fireplace surround or a more contemporary room.

If you’re thinking about an inset gas fire, visit our Wimbledon fireplace showroom to talk through the Gazco Logic range. We handle gas fire installation across London and Surrey. 🔥

This Vaska balanced flue gas stove by Faber Fires 🔥 was installed in a Wimbledon home, finished with a black twin-wall flue system run neatly across the wall rather than hidden in a chimney breast — a good option where there’s no existing flue route. Full supply, installation, gas connection and commissioning completed by our team. 🔥 If you’re looking at a gas stove installation in Wimbledon or anywhere across South West London and Surrey, we’re happy to talk through balanced flue options for your space.

This Gazco Vogue Midi gas stove by Stovax & Gazco was fitted as part of a full installation, bringing a clean, contemporary look to a classic bullnose fire surround. The stove sits within a smooth matt black steel chamber, with flat Carrera marble hearths front and back for a crisp finish. Our team also ran an 11-metre 5” gas flue liner system and completed the full gas connection and commissioning, so the fire was ready to go safely from day one. A great example of how the right stove and finish can reset a whole room. 🔥

This Barrington mantel piece by Principal Stone , carved in bathstone with a deeper shelf, was one of our favourite finishing touches on a recent job in SW London. We matched the chamber panelling and slips to the mantel in bathstone, added a slate hearth, and fitted a Chesterfield 5 CF gas stove Stovax & Gazco running on natural gas, complete with a 5-inch gas flue liner through to the chimney. The soft, chalky tone of bathstone works particularly well against warmer wall colours and natural flooring, as it does here against this herringbone floor. It’s a good reminder that a fireplace doesn’t need to sit in a neutral room to work - sometimes a bit of colour brings out the stone even more. If you’re considering a gas stove or fireplace installation in Wimbledon, Surrey or across London, we’d be glad to help. 🔥

A striking new addition to a home in Guildford. This wood/multi-fuel Studio 1 air cassette stove by Stovax & Gazco has been fitted within a bespoke Branco limestone surround and matching hearth, with a black inner trim and edge frame giving the whole installation a crisp, contemporary finish. Installation was carried out by our team at Grate Additions Grate Addition , with the stove running room-sealed via an external air kit and served by a 150mm flue liner, so performance is every bit as considered as the finish. Another bespoke stove project completed for a customer in Surrey.

An old stove made way for something a little more contemporary in this SW London living room. We removed and decommissioned the existing stove, installed a new gas liner and flue terminal, then fitted the Global 55XT CF-01 gas fire by DRU Fire — a smooth black finish with a clear CV-glass front for an uninterrupted view of the flame. Honed granite slips finish the existing surround, giving a clean, tailored line either side of the fire. The whole job was completed with a full gas connection and commissioning check, so it’s ready to enjoy from day one. If you’re weighing up a stove-to-gas-fire conversion, our Wimbledon showroom is worth a visit. 🔥

A gas fire that works from both sides of the glass — this Ortal Tunnel 75 Ortal fireplaces Europe sits at the heart of a SW London home, dividing the sitting room from the garden room with a single flame visible from either side. It’s a genuine see-through design, not two fires back to back, running on a sealed direct vent system so there’s no need for a chimney, with double glazing keeping the outer glass cool to the touch and around 8kW of heat output shared across both rooms. Installed with a balanced flue system for a clean, glass-fronted finish indoors and out. Installation by our very talented subcontractors, Grate Additions. Grate Addition

Two British Fires British Fires | Electric Fireplaces installations in one South West London home. Downstairs, a New Forest 650 electric inset fire sits within a bespoke Derry mantel — made to measure at 1075mm, finished in Little Greene “Loft White” with a black-painted MDF back panel behind the fire for a crisp, considered finish. Upstairs in the bedroom, the Sway brings the same clean black edition styling on a smaller scale, fitted with a bespoke infill plate below the inset for a neat, tailored look. Both fires run on realistic log-effect flames with no chimney or gas connection needed, making them a straightforward retrofit for period and modern rooms alike.

A limestone fireplace with real presence — this Belmonte 48” stone suite in Portuguese limestone by Capital Fireplaces , complete with matching slips and hearth, now anchors a living room in Wimbledon, London. At its heart, a Logic HE Designio2 steel gas fire by Stovax & Gazco with a conventional flue and remote control, its log-effect burner giving a genuinely convincing flame picture without the upkeep of a real wood burner. Clean lines, warm limestone tones and a fire that’s as easy to live with as it is to look at.

Fitting a new stove into an existing stone fireplace is often the best of both: the original surround stays, and the old open fire is replaced with something that actually heats the room. Here a Charnwood Aire 4 wood burning and multi-fuel stove Charnwood Stoves has been fitted in London, sitting neatly inside the customer’s existing stone surround.

The Aire 4 is a compact Ecodesign stove with a wide glass door, and this one was fitted with Charnwood’s external air kit, which draws combustion air from outside rather than from the room. A 6” flue liner runs the full height of the chimney to a pot hanger cowl, with new honed black granite front and back hearths finished flat at 20mm. The installation was HETAS commissioned and certified for Building Regulations.

Stove, hearths and flue system supplied by Grate Expectations, with installation arranged through one of our independent HETAS installers.

If you are thinking about a wood burning stove installation in South London or Surrey, come and see the Charnwood range in our Wimbledon showroom.
