Studio Diary, épisode 2 : démolition, on s'y met seuls 🔨

Racontez-moi !

Episode 2: demolition day.

Racontez-moi !

Episode 1: the house we didn’t choose. We lost our dream house by one week, so we gave this one a makeover. New episode every Friday.

The big building works have been going on since the beginning of the year, now we're coming to the end of phase one of our renovation project, with phase 2 (extension) normally starting next week!
So I'm just working on finishings in the areas that I can (those that aren't piled high with boxes).
My favourite part, which wallpaper 🤔?
A bit of colour to help through the hectic mess of living in, whilst renovating!! 🫣

Big shout out on this International Women’s Day to these three amazing girls I’ve known for over 35 years. 💛
Life has taken us to different places — they’re over the other side of the pond and I’ve been rooted in France for more than 15 years now — but I often find myself thinking about them and wondering how their 40-year-old selves are doing these days.....
Some friendships really do grow with you, no matter the distance.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women out there — you’re doing a great job, even on the days when it might not feel like it. ✨

The end of 2025 has been spent ripping apart our new house, ready to open up rooms, get rid of mouldy, damp ridden layers, spice up the interior and get ready for some colour and textures in there!
2026 is going to be a mess, juggling building works, change of schools, big work projects and a whole life shift!
But hey, who likes it simple!

I'm just about to start a wonderful new family project for a lovely client that I first started working for back in 2015 when I started out on my own.
(This was one of the kitchens we did together before getting to the fun part).
It's going to go through the every stage possible in planning a dream family forever home. This is the start of a 3 year project and it's going to be super exciting!

There are some major advantages of waking up early on these gorgeous autumn mornings! How can you not feel inspired by these beautiful colours...

As I'm now working on a new mood board for an upcoming project (opening soon), it takes me back to this rather fun and creative Collab that we worked on a few years ago, that has now become a well renowned hang out down in our parts of the woods. A bar / hostel / co-working space that we helped design along with .interieurs.
