The big building works have been going on since the beginning of the year, now we're coming to the end of phase one of our renovation project, with phase 2 (extension) normally starting next week!
So I'm just working on finishings in the areas that I can (those that aren't piled high with boxes).
My favourite part, which wallpaper 🤔?
A bit of colour to help through the hectic mess of living in, whilst renovating!! 🫣

Big shout out on this International Women’s Day to these three amazing girls I’ve known for over 35 years. 💛
Life has taken us to different places — they’re over the other side of the pond and I’ve been rooted in France for more than 15 years now — but I often find myself thinking about them and wondering how their 40-year-old selves are doing these days.....
Some friendships really do grow with you, no matter the distance.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women out there — you’re doing a great job, even on the days when it might not feel like it. ✨

La vie nous a emmenées dans des directions différentes — elles sont de l’autre côté de la Manche et moi je suis installée en France depuis plus de 15 ans — mais je pense souvent à elles et je me demande comment vont leurs versions de 40 ans aujourd’hui.
Certaines amitiés grandissent avec nous, peu importe la distance....

The end of 2025 has been spent ripping apart our new house, ready to open up rooms, get rid of mouldy, damp ridden layers, spice up the interior and get ready for some colour and textures in there!
2026 is going to be a mess, juggling building works, change of schools, big work projects and a whole life shift!
But hey, who likes it simple!

It was a huge, stark, open plan warehouse space, that we managed to get some colour into and create different work zones to suit the working environment.
We're still waiting on official photos!

I'm thinking a lot about our old house at the moment now that we're juggling quotes, plans and future transformations for our new house, now that we've spent the last couple of months of summer here.
This was my old office space, that became our little self sufficient studio.
I'm now planning the transformation of our current garage onto my future 'office'/'workshop' where I will be able to have another dedicated space to teach and create.... Hopefully by next summer if all goes well.
Watch this space for the next adventure to unfold.
