The Home of the Drowned is a stunningly evocative novel set in Sweden’s far north about forced displacement and cultural erasure through the lens of one family’s forty-year battle for their rights.

A powerful family saga set in the wilds of the far north of Sweden, where the summer settlement of the
reindeer-herding Sámi people is flooded without warning, and three women must fight for their heritage
and future in a changing world.

Weaving Lydia Pang’s exploration of her Hakka heritage into a deeply personal story of burnout, marriage, fertility struggles and caregiving.
