CTO LIGHTING designs, manufactures and supplies a contemporary range of luxury lighting. We are a design led company producing a stock range which is updated each year and also have a custom department who work directly with the architects and designers on bespoke projects. We are continually specified by leading designers including Phillippe Stark, Barbara Barry and David Collins for a variety of

Introducing a finish shaped by the hand of the artisan.

Weathered Brass moves from warm golden tones into soft, clouded passages of shadow, so the surface is never flat, never the same twice. Light settles into it rather than bouncing off it, giving the metal depth and a quiet sense of age.

Hand-finished by British artisans, each piece carries its own pattern of tone and patina, the mark of a material allowed to be itself. It pairs naturally with alabaster, smoked glass, and warm timber, at home in interiors that value texture over polish.

Now available across the ARTES collection, the RING collection and HEPWORTH wall lights, Weathered Brass introduces a new material expression to some of our most recognisable designs.

A new finish with the warmth of something already lived with.

It was a pleasure to introduce YUKIMI for the first time, alongside several CTO Lighting classics. Displayed within RUE VERTE's thoughtfully curated setting, the pendant came to life exactly as intended - enriching the space around it with warmth, materiality, and a quiet presence.

Introducing Yukimi.

A contemporary lantern built on an old principle: that light should not fill a room but give it atmosphere.

Shades of fine alabaster, held within sculptural metal casings, each reading as a point of warmth. Hung alone or clustered together, connected by a draped metal mesh that traces a quiet line across the ceiling.

Some lights ask to be looked at. This one asks you to embrace everything around it.

In 1933, Jun’ichirō Tanizaki wrote that we had forgotten something about light. That in our rush to illuminate every corner, we had lost the depth, the atmosphere, the quiet that shadow gives a room.

We have been thinking about this a great deal lately.

Our latest design journal is a response to his essay, In Praise of Shadows, and to the idea that light should serve a space rather than dominate it. A way of thinking that has shaped something new.

Rooted in atmosphere.

In the home bar of Studio Martijn Veldman's 'Surrounded by the forest', deep green tones and ambient light create a space that feels immersive, intimate, and deeply connected to nature.

Suspended above, our IVY 8 pendant feels perfectly at home. Inspired by organic growth, its curved bronzed arms extend outward like plants reaching toward the light, casting a generous ambient glow across the room. Sculptural yet natural in expression, it brings a sense of movement and softness to the space.

Inside C**a, Manchester.

Suspended through the centre of the restaurant’s staircase, five JULES pendants are composed at varying heights, forming a striking vertical installation that draws the eye through the space. Seen from every level, the arrangement becomes a layered work of light and form.

Named after Belgian architect Jules Wabbe, the design reflects a language of reductive lines and refined materiality. Cast bronze elements, poured and finished by hand, are paired with softly diffused glass shades, balancing strength with lightness.

An installation that transforms a staircase into experience and defines the space from within.
