For me, a bedroom is not just a place to end the day, it’s a haven for unwinding and relaxation, peaceful conversations and bedtime rituals. So when working on designs with our clients, we like to follow these tips:

> Embrace Subtle Hues: gentle, soothing colours create a tranquil atmosphere. Bold can be incorporated as accents to add vibrancy without overwhelming the space.

> Consider Visual Weight: Furniture plays a crucial role in defining the look and feel of your bedroom. Every piece contributes to the room’s overall visual weight. A minimalist bed frame offers a light, airy feel, ideal for smaller spaces. Conversely, in larger bedrooms with high ceilings, a robust bed frame or statement wall art can make the space feel more anchored and inviting.

> Redefine Your Headboard: A headboard isn’t just functional; it’s a centrepiece that can elevate your bedroom’s elegance. We often design bespoke frames, which not only create a cohesive look but also add a unique character to the space.

We’re beyond excited to share a little magic from our latest adventure in Chelsea, London!

We turned a classic townhouse in the heart of Chelsea into three stunning apartments ready for resale. From brainstorming to the big reveal, we’ve wrapped our hearts and skills around every corner, hinge, and piece of furniture.

We worked closely alongside a developer to create three spacious apartments, all hosting bespoke joinery and specially selected furniture, lighting and accessory pieces. 18 months flew by as we poured love and meticulous care into every detail.

Nestled within an exclusive new development, this modern riverside apartment has three bedrooms (one of which has been converted into a study), 2.5 bathrooms, a space-saving utility cupboard and a generous open-plan living and dining space. The wrap-around balcony enjoys panoramic views of Teddington Lock and further down the River Thames.

I always appreciate a design feature that is as functional as it is beautiful. Creating a bespoke element for a project adds a layer of uniqueness and charm that’s truly special.

For this Chelsea townhouse, the brief started with transforming the ground floor into an expansive space perfect for entertaining. Within this seamless, multi-functional area, we carved out a distinct dining space. To give it its own identity, we designed a pair of decorative, distressed silver leaf screens. These screens, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, not only separate the dining area but also add an artistic touch.

What I adore about these screens is the way they effortlessly allow light and air to permeate through, enhancing the ambiance of the entire space.

One of the things I love is visiting my clients in their new space once it’s become lived in; it’s a joy to see all the behind the scenes work finally come to life.

Whether it’s reading lights by the bed or specified kitchen gadgets or jsut home organisation, we consider every personalised detail when it comes to tailoring interiors for our clients. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

I love working with open-plan spaces for the amount of opportunities they offer to configure and assign purpose to different pockets of the room.

In the exquisite Knightsbridge apartment elegance meets a playful contrast of natural forms and classic proportions. We created a subtle jewel box feel for the dining zone of this spacious living room. Hand-painted wallpaper with crystal birds and flowers and an antique mirror provide a beautiful backdrop for all occasions, and a pendant light offers a unique visual experience for the guests at the dinner table.

I absolutely adore working with returning clients. The projects are often diverse, but trust and understanding are established and ideas are exchanged freely.

Working on this contemporary riverside apartment for our jet-setting repeat clients, our shared inspiration came from the panoramic views of the River Thames. It was decided to proceed with a sleek and minimal design scheme and simple, clean lines to allow the views to take centre stage.

Two of my favourite features? An intuitive motorised window dressing, which retains a sense of privacy while still letting light filter through. And the bespoke kitchen cabinetry, cleverly concealing the countertop with uniformed door panels when not in use.

Interior projects are often looked at in daylight, yet considering the UK’s climate and our bustling lives, I believe crafting a soothing ambiance after sunset is equally vital. A sentiment that truly comes to life in our delightful project on London’s Pond Street.

The kitchen is possibly one area in the house where light is about practicality and functionality more than its visual impact. Consider bold pendant lights over a kitchen island, elevating it into a distinctive feature of the room.

In the living room, where coziness is key, achieving an even spread of light avoids harsh contrasts, ensuring a comforting atmosphere.

Employ living room wall lighting strategically to delineate various zones, whether showcasing artwork or defining spaces like a pool table area.

In the bedroom, thoughtful lighting placement takes precedence. Mind the lampshade color, as it influences the light; opt for warmer shades when selecting fabrics.

It’s hard to decide which of the rooms I love best: the kitchen – diner or the reading nook in the living room. Which one do you prefer?
