(1-3) Ksenia Semirova

Ksenia Semirova’s practice explores embroidery as a medium with transformative potential, working with materials such as threads, beads, plastic, and metal elements. Her work investigates cultural, historical, environmental, social, and political contexts, interweaving these with personal perspective to create complex, layered outcomes that invite reflection.

(4-6) Moralda Durra

Graduating in Arts and Textile at University of Arts in Tirana, Albania, for more than 8 years Moralda has practiced fashion design, drawing from Albanian national rich, colourful and diverse costumes and clothing. She has attended many competitions and exhibited my artwork in Albania and Italy. Last year Moralda won the first prize in Muza Competition, the only large scale arts competition in Tiran. Her artwork 'one thousand' threads, combined modern design with traditional Albanian garment was recognised by the jury as one of a kind.

(7-9) Henrietta Park

Henrietta works from her studio in Stroud using a process of knitting and felting lambswool to create a collection of garments and accessories that balance that balance practicality with a quiet elegance and colour pairings that are both striking and understated. After 23 years at Gabriel’s wharf in London Southbank, Henrietta now creates from her studio in Stroud. Her creative path is as layered as her textiles.

(1-3) Sarah Grove

My work starts its journey with a piece of textile. I hand sew, quilt, patchwork in a wide range of fabric textures and machine embroider motifs such as birds, shells and bees. From these textiles I make a range of simple shaped but highly textured porcelain ware. The themes incorporate ideas around ceramic and textile traditions, symbolism and storytelling such as the willow pattern, dragons, koi and cranes.

(4-6) Stitch and Make Studio

All with a story to tell. I have traveled extensively with my job, so will often incorporate fabrics or trims from my travels...

(7-8) Esme Cooper

I’m a textile designer working from my studio in the garden of my Mid- Devon home. I design surface patterns which I screen print by hand onto natural fabrics, making these into furnishings, lampshades and household textiles. Recently I have been combining my lampshades with a handmade driftwood lamp base to make complete table lamps. I have always been inspired by the shapes and colours found in the natural world, taking the details found in everyday forms into my work.

(4) Wendy Greaves

After years immersed in fine art textiles as both artist and educator, 2022 marked a turning point in my creative journey. It was a year of expansion: deepening connections with fellow creatives, broadening my artistic horizons and pushing the boundaries of my practice. There is something almost primal about inviting the viewer to “watch where you tread”, to slow down, heighten their awareness and discover a newfound intimacy with their environment.

(5-7) Natasha Eves

Natasha Eves is a textile artist, curator and publican. Her visual practice uses processes of machine knitting and weaving to explore relations of care, invisible labour, digital hoarding, and popular culture. By being involved at every stage, from designing to programming to fabricating, Eves pushes the technical possibilities of flatbed jacquard knitting, with an interest in double bed reversible knits that have different images on each side.

(1-3) Studio Rumu

I am a figurative textile artist specialising in needle felting wool fibres. I incorporate recycled materials and beach combed treasures into my work, creating pictures and models. My work is often described as nostalgic and whimsical, and is intended as a joyful celebration of favourite places, and everyday objects.

(4-5) Clare Spender

I have been a practicing textile and community artist for 25 years, having studied for my BA in Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University. I am fascinated by fabric, how its structure can be changed dramatically simply by stitching, binding, folding and dying.

(7-9) Jane Close Textile Artist

I create bags and pouches, and at the moment I am developing containers, that can be usable works of art. Most of my larger bags are based on Japanese style rice bags. The fixings, fastenings and handles are created where possible from handmade cords and ties.

(1-3) Nelson

Nelson is a London-based artist working primarily in film and hand embroidery—a practice inherited from a long line of women in her family who worked as machinists in Northern England’s textile industry during the 1980s. By reclaiming this matrilineal craft, she transforms the domestic into the political. Her works are sculptural paintings: layered, padded, stitched, and unapologetically feminine.

(4) Oyinloluwa Ilesanmi

My practice centres on textile collage and immersive installation, using richly patterned Ankara fabrics to construct imagined landscapes that sit between myth, ecology, and speculative futures. Working through layering, stitching, and fragmentation, I build tapestries that function as environments rather than images—spaces the viewer is invited to enter, rather than simply observe.

(5-7) Nikkita Morgan

I hold a Master’s in Textile Design from Norwich University of the Arts, awarded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and a BA (Hons) in Textile Art, Design & Craft from the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David: Coleg Sir Gar, where I graduated as Textile Student of the Year. Committed to elevating textiles as an art form, I use embroidery to connect, heal, and inspire, creating work that speaks to both intimate personal narratives and broader social histories.

Esme is a textile designer who works from a studio in the garden of her Mid-Devon home. She designs surface patterns which she screen prints by hand onto natural fabrics, making these into furnishings, fashion accessories and household textiles. She’s always been inspired by the shapes and colours found in nature, taking the details found in natural forms into her work.

Living in the West Country gives access to such varied landscapes and coastlines where she can spend hours picking up shells, stones, driftwood and flowers and take these back to the studio and start working on a new design. These objects are often just a catalyst for a design and the finished fabric design may have minimal resemblance to the original object.

Esme studied Textile Design at Nottingham Polytechnic in the 80’s and now teaches Screen-printing alongside her Textile Design business.

🧷Come and discover Esme's work alongside over 50 artists with a weekend showcase of high-quality contemporary textile art, handmade homewares and stitched curios.
