It’s another sneak peek of a project…

I can’t help it as this vanity unit against the herringbone floor 🤌🏻

A little background for you, the original floor in this project was a basket weave marble but due to stock issues we had to change the design last minute. Thank goodness it was a happy ending as this herringbone looks so great against the marble vanity top and the green of the panelling.

Carpet is soon to be changed and a brass trim will replace the chrome one.

I know I should wait but I can’t…

This little corner from my recently completed Putney project is giving me all the Sunday feels, snapped on my phone in preparation for the photo shoot. I know the professional shots will always look sleeker but I thought I’d give a little Sunday share.

I am in love with this Pelican House rug that I had made in a bespoke size to fit the room as well as the beautiful Vaughan Designs coffee table.

Happy Sunday x

September is here, the nights are drawing in so it’s time to cosy up and create a nest in your bedroom.

A few of my favourite bedrooms from recently completed projects over Interior Designer | Sophie Mackay-Lewis but which one is yours…?

1. Melrose Master Bedroom?
2. “The Yellow Room” curtained cabin bed?
3. “Boy Blue” cabin bed?
4. Sotheby Master Bedroom?

Thank you Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms and Amanda Cochrane for the lovely coverage of the recently completed Highbury project. I loved designing this unique home along with District. creating an open, warm space and maximising the light in the kitchen extension with the oriel window

Anyone else getting no sleep?

This weather is glorious but so hot at night and the little people are finding it so hard. Got me thinking about nurseries and children’s bedrooms.

This one was designed for a little boy who loved this Cole & Son (Wallpapers) Ltd wallpaper so much that I put it all over his room.

June has come and gone and what a whirlwind of a month it has been! So much so I haven’t been on here all month so hello, but I’m back

Three exciting new projects started in June, so I have been head down in concept boards, layouts and joinery drawings. Multiple site visits with the projects that are almost complete as well as a few lovely consultations.

I am now taking consultation bookings for October for anyone needing a little help along the way with their projects….

Camera roll of the happenings in June with a few incredibly special weekends away celebrating very special friends.

Just to keep me on my toes my middle baby has broken her arm just before the school holidays. Yay!

Thank you for including the very special master bathroom in my Brook Green project for the June issue. It always feels surreal seeing my work in print and very special, thank you!

It’s all child’s play in this playroom, it even has it’s own postbox 📮

This is where I love collaboration as my client called me one day to tell me she had bought a post box for the room. A real one. We works the artwork around it and it looks so cute and fits perfectly within the space.

A heavenly client, a heavenly project to bring to life.

For the love of detail, I softened the edges of the wardrobe reveal so that it felt right against the gather of fabric within the wardrobe door.
It is these kinds of details that I love adding to projects, that aren’t always thought about but they are by a designer.
