This new embroidered piece titled Boho took a while to make but I love the end result. Lots and lots of French knots to create the hair. Made on handmade thick A4size paper. It has a textured acrylic paint base and then work with cotton threads on top. The flower is done with sparkly threads.Scroll left to see a video with closeups. My first woven small tapestry. I attended a weaving. Workshop this past week and this is the end result. I used wool, sparkly threads, fuzzy threads and added some organic beads for texture. Lots of possibilities here.Let me know what you think. Next I am going to make a bookmark for my favourite guy using this technique.Happy Saturday my friends.

This past weekend I attended a cross stitch workshop conducted by . Had lots of fun creating these wonderful journal covers and chatting about everything under the sun with some lovely crafting enthusiasts with some coffee and pastries on the side. I created these for the cat parents of my favourite two cats, Clementine and Saber. You may have seen them sometimes in my posts and stories earlier too. If not you must visit their page and see what they have been up to recently. Cross stitch is a simple stitch but you can really use your imagination and create wonderful pieces with it. There is a charm to giving handmade gifts and these would make a wonderful gifts for a friend. Let me know if you want a different one made for someone special in your life .. lots of possibilities here. I am going to put up a few as sample ideas on my Etsy page. ̇deryart
