Button Moon is an independent yarn and haberdashery shop, found at 79 Main Street, Long Eaton, Nottingham.

We stock Stylecraft, King Cole and Sirdar mostly, with some James C Brett. 65 folders of patterns will help find your next project! Button Moon opened on Friday 5th July 2013, selling haberdashery, jars full of buttons, card-making craft supplies, miles of ribbon, wool, embroidery and crochet supplies. Since then we have developed the yarn massively, selling Stylecraft, King Cole, James C Brett and Sirdar.

Hmmm there are some things I'd rather not!!

Jonathon's nasty cold being one of them, however, he's been very generous in this regard! So instead of selling all you lovely people yarn, I'm spending today on the sofa, feeling sorry for myself 🤧

The donkey is done! 😁

I must say that the Itsy Bitsy was remarkably easy to use with such a tiny hook (2.5mm) and it has a lovely smooth, subtle sheen to it, and no splitting which is always a nightmare when working amigarumi.

Also, a very well written pattern in the Itsy Bitsy book of farm animals.
I am a bit of a sceptic when it comes to patterns when they seem to go off piste in their instructions. However, I was pleasantly surprised that after attaching the legs and missing 6 stitches, it didn't leave a weird gaping hole.
Yes, obviously there was a hole, but sewing it up finished it off nicely (must trust the process more Teresa 🙄 )
I just need to work on my 'head attaching' skills now.

Need to tidy up now as the sale bags have been going well but Crafternoon is back on tomorrow and as it is, they'll all be sitting in the kitchen. Tx

🙄 And this ladies and gentlemen is what Jonathon does to Lindt bunnies and then sends me photos of the decapitation.

This though, will be a donkey by tomorrow made with our new yarn King Cole Itsy Bitsy 25g cotton.

I would finish him today but I am tired and going home to see my Ratbag kid.

All 123 Stylecraft Yarns Special DK stocked up for what is probably the first time this year.
Feel free to come and enjoy the rainbow that is yarny loveliness. Tx

Just need to find something for the top now. But first lunch and a cup of tea while I gather strength to tackle the 4ply, Aran, chunky, super chunky, and the XL tweed. Where, oh where is Jonathon when I need him???
