It’s the season of holidays, adventures, and gap years (oh how I wish I’d done one! ✈️) so I had to show you our Travel Sewing Kit, your faithful companion wherever the world takes you 🌍

Because you just never know when you’ll need to sew on a button or rescue your favourite blouse mid-trip 🪡✨

Our little travel sewing tin is designed to last a lifetime, and then some. The kind of thing you pass down. They don’t make them like they used to… except we do 🫶

I don’t know about you but my mind is frequently turning to the impending summer holidays and how I’m going to entertain my children!

I want to fill our shop with beautiful things that they might enjoy but that crucially YOU will enjoy too and hopefully won’t just get chucked out when September rolls around.

There’s lots more coming but we had a little restock and some new bits in this week that I thought I’d show you!

I am going to be junk journalling, getting my boys to collect things while we’re on holiday and then fill these gorgeous UK made sketchbooks with memories and drawings and souvenirs.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you the link to the collection!

This felt like a big milestone. Colour is my thing and the fabrics available to us to produce our Mini Cross-stitch kits aren’t always the colours that I would choose but we work with them!

To be able to get our own custom colour dyed, the first of many, I really hope, is just so exciting. It opens up so many possibilities and it makes our kits even more unique and beautiful and the best, in my opinion!

So here’s a little story of the Mint Green Aida and you’re going to hopefully see lots more custom gorgeous bright colours coming soon for our Mini Cross-stitch kits ❌❌❌

I wanted to show you a simple way to finish off your kumihimo bracelet. Honestly I have so many tutorials that I need to add to our YouTube site to show you how to make all the different patterns and finish off the bracelets. There’s one up there that talks about using the kumihimo ends to finish off your bracelet and there is a basic kumihimo tutorial up there of course. I will add some more and over the next few weeks it is on the top of my to-do list but let me know if you have any questions!

This way is a kind of tying it on like a friendship bracelet so you probably wouldn’t be taking it on and off. If you want to take it on and off then the kumihimo ends are the perfect way to finish it.

Let me know if you have questions!

We’ve sold thousands of our Kumihimo Bracelet Kits, and the messages kept telling us the same thing: people wanted more thread, more looms to make with friends, or a version they could just wrap up and give.

So we built three.

The Kit to get started, Make With Friends for craft nights and group makes, and The Gift Set , the whole experience, ready to give (worth over £94).

Same kit you already love. Now there’s a version for however you want to make it.

Moment MAKE and I’ll send you the link! 🧶

My dream is to create a place online where you feel like your soul is being fed with ideas, and gentle cues to make. Ideas that don’t cost a fortune, promoting a lifestyle that is about creating not consuming. My motivation is to be an antidote to the hours of content that tells you how to be smaller, and to shrink your body and to focus on what you look like rather than what you create. If this sounds like you, then I’m glad you’re here and my goal is to serve you wholesome content that inspires you, not depresses you, that builds you up and doesn’t knock you down. 💛💛💛

We make thousands of these kits and send them all across the world! They are currently stocked in Barnes & Noble (if you see them take a pic for me!) and like most of our kits they are a totally doable weekend type of project.

You get the backing felt to add on once you have done all your stitching and the edges will stay beautifully neat because of this refinished scalloped edge.

You don’t even need a hoop for this project, just start stitching!

To celebrate the arrival of our new Fruity bookmark, you can take 20% off our bookmark collection with the code FRUITY until the end of the week 🍒🍐🍉🍓🍌

Comment FRUITY and I’ll send you straight to the collection!

A brand new bookmark kit has been added to the collection! Our fruity bookmark is a summery treat, and if you’re a newsletter subscriber, there’s a little offer in your inbox 🍓🍌🍒🍉🍐

Our bookmark kits are beautifully packaged and contain everything you need to make this heirloom project. You will treasure this forever, or it makes a beautiful gift for your bookish friend.

You don’t need a hoop to stitch, this, just stitch straight onto the special bookmark fabric that is edged with a lovely scalloped finish. Then when you’re done, add the felt backing that’s also. Included in the kit!

We’ve got a YouTube video to help you with this one too :)

This audio is so accurate 😭 Why is my brain like this?! My current completely unrealistic diversions/ponderings…..write a book, start a new subscription box, learn to speak Danish, sew a new summer wardrobe, train for a half marathon, redecorate the lounge, turn the garage into a gym, start a new business, homeschool the kids, take family year off to travel…..I could go on. Anyone else?
