A sourcing day at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour.

It’s one of those places where you can see so much under one roof. Fabrics, finishes, furniture and plenty of ideas that inevitably have you stopping along the way.

This visit had a purpose though. I headed to Romo, Fabrics & Wallcoverings to source for my Loughton living room project, working through their huge selection of fabrics to find the right combinations for the scheme.

Can’t wait to share what was picked.

Our Upminster project is underway!

There’s a lot happening within this space: a completely new kitchen with a generous island, a relaxed garden room, bespoke bench and banquette seating, a redesigned utility room and a TV snug with a bookcase concealing a secret door.

The details are getting interesting too. We’re introducing a dropped picture-frame detail around the ceiling with integrated lighting, alongside concealed lighting above the cabinetry. Each can be controlled independently, allowing us to completely change the atmosphere of the room.

Much of the bespoke cabinetry has already been fabricated by , and it’s brilliant to see the plans beginning to become a reality on site.

More from this one as it progresses.

We covered quite a lot of ground at Shoreditch Design week!

At House of ICON, Black Pear and CLAUD CHRISTIAN • Design Studio caught my eye, while Material Matters offered a very different perspective, including work by exploring consumerism and Zieta Studio.

We also stopped by ’s new showroom on Clerkenwell Green for the Very Simple: Kitchen launch. A great setting for it, surrounded by pieces from across@SCPLtd’s collection, including a Charles Eames chair that was hard to walk past without stopping.

Seeing so many different approaches in the space of a few hours always gets you thinking. New materials, familiar forms approached differently, and plenty of ideas to mull over afterwards.

There’s something exciting about arriving on site when the possibilities are still wide open.

I’m at our Benfleet project, where we’re currently working through the planning and layout before I put pen to paper on the interior concepts.

This is the stage where I start thinking about how the room should function, the flow between the spaces and small details that can elevate the experience of living in the completed home.

Lots to get stuck into with this one.

Looking forward to sharing the ideas as they start taking shape!

Photographing every stage of a project is part of my process.

Interior design projects can take months to complete, so having those references to look back on and see just how far a space has come can be incredibly rewarding.

Every house has its secrets. This one? A snug concealed behind bespoke cabinetry.

In our Epping Forest project, the snug was created as part of a new extension, opening up what had previously been a solid wall. Bespoke cabinetry was then used to divide the new snug from the adjoining living space. Pull the right book, and you’re in!

It’s details like this that made Epping Forest such an enjoyable project to work on, and we’re very pleased to see the finished home recognised as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards.

Working closely with the client, the principal bedroom in Epping Forest Project was designed to be a tranquil and restorative space. What used to be the children’s separate bedrooms, now make up the principal bedroom and dressing room.

We layered illustrative wallpaper, a bespoke headboard from Darlings of Chelsea, soft fabrics from ILIV, plush carpet, and calming blue tones from Farrow & Ball. The dressing room replicated this look and feel, including the wallpaper pattern in a fabric on the window bench.
