Hello everybody, we hope you are all having a lovely Saturday 🌸🫶
I’m trying SO hard to take reviews on the chin, I really am… but sometimes I do wonder what small businesses are supposed to do 😂

Today we received a 3-star review because somebody travelled 30 miles to visit us on a Saturday and… we were full.

Apparently we also only have 4 tables, which is news to us considering there are another two rooms upstairs 😂

Food: 1⭐️
Service: 1⭐️
Atmosphere: 1⭐️

They didn’t actually eat, drink or sit in Archies. 😭😂

I’m genuinely sorry you travelled 30 miles and couldn’t get a table, but giving our food and service 1/5 when you didn’t experience either is WILD 😂

Reviews do actually have a big impact on small independent businesses, so I really hope getting that one off your chest has made your Saturday a little brighter 🌸🫶

Anyway… apparently being full on a Saturday is our latest offence.

I think Passage Fest has officially written me off 😂🤍

I’ve been trying to think of what to say about this weekend, and honestly… I don’t really know where to start.

Sunday was just incredible. There was a moment where I looked down Pawnshop Passage , music playing outside the businesses, tables full, people laughing and the whole Passage absolutely buzzing, and thought… we actually did this.

And then Monday came around and somehow even Music Bingo was an absolute success 😂🤍

Putting something like Passage Fest on is a HUGE risk for small independent businesses. There’s so much time, money, planning, stress and work that goes into a weekend like this behind the scenes, and you never really know whether people are actually going to turn up.

But you did. 🥹

Earlier this summer I went to Camden Market and came home completely inspired by how alive it felt. The music, the atmosphere, independent businesses all crammed together, people eating and drinking outside… and I remember thinking how amazing our little Passage could feel with that same energy.

And this weekend, I genuinely think little Louth looked even better. 🤍

But my favourite part wasn’t just seeing Pawnshop Passage so busy. It was seeing everybody come together.

No “competition”. No worrying about who was busier or who was doing what. Just businesses, musicians, friends and people in our town wanting each other to succeed.

That’s exactly what I wanted Passage Fest to be.

I got a little emotional yesterday 😂 I don’t know whether it was the pressure finally coming off, the exhaustion of being here from start to finish all weekend, or just standing there realising that something we’d worked so hard on had actually worked.

Probably all three.

I’ve absolutely loved this summer at Archie’s. It’s been chaotic, exhausting and ridiculous at times 😂 but weekends like this remind me why we do it.

Thank you to every single person who performed, helped, worked, supported the businesses in the Passage, shared our posts, brought their families down, sang along, played bingo, ate, drank and made the weekend what it was.

You saw Pawnshop Passage at its absolute greatest this weekend.

And I’m so bloody proud of it. 🤍

We genuinely cannot get over yesterday!! Seeing the Passage THAT full was absolutely amazing 🥹🫶🏼 and we’re ready to do it all over again today!

Our Mexican menu is running right through until around 9pm tonight 🌮🔥 so come hungryggg!

Grab yourself some tacos, loaded fries, nachos or a hot dog, then get settled in at Archies with a cocktail, wine, beer or two while you enjoy the live music 🍹🍷🎶
