Getting married?
Setting the date, booking the venue, photographer, sorting the dresses and the flowers!

It’s an exciting time but doesn’t need to be stressful.
Take time to think about what you want your day to look like, because it is a very special day.
But focus on the priorities.
Here at Beechfield , Alison will give you her time and her expertise and help you navigate all things floral for your wedding.
Our passion for seasonal wedding floral design is real and shines through.
Each wedding is unique and designed deliberately for the season incorporating many, if not all locally grown flowers and foliages in the bouquets and venue designs.
Alison can help guide you in floral and design choice which is best suited for the time of year.
You don’t need to follow a trend , have your own style, be true to yourself. Focus on the important items, having less flowers is totally fine, honestly , but be intentional with those flowers, less is very, very often more, don’t forget that! Let the flowers speak, embrace the seasons and the scents of fresh flowers.
Each wedding is unique and every wedding different and equally beautiful. Here at Beechfield we pour our heart and soul into every single wedding and love to add the detail with intricate stems of freshly picked foliage and flowers grown on the farm.
So if you’d like to get in touch to enquire about availability please just head over to the website and fill out the enquiry form or send a DM and we can get back to you asap.🌸🌸🌸🌸

The beautiful Melissa on her wedding day.
What a joy it was to do the flowers for Melissa and Dan. The ceremony was held in Melissa’s home congregation, Moneymore Presbyterian, where she arrived in her Granda Cousley’s vintage car. The reception followed at Ballyscullion Park and the sun shone ! It was just gorgeous from beginning to end and I wish them every blessing for a long and happy marriage.

Seed sowing in a heatwave!
Let’s see if we can get some late blooms with seeds sown today 15/7/26.
Just some old packets of seeds mixed up and scattered
Nigella, poppies, grasses, marigolds and strawflowers
PS. Note the soil scattered on the membrane paths behind! That’s the birds, in particular it’s usually thrushes 🐦‍⬛, poking through the freshly spread mulch , they’re on the lookout for worms, slugs and snails 🐌 🤗

1st July
6 months of the year gone, how did that just happen!!
July brings lots of weddings, big and small. It’s also the time to start sowing flowers for next year and the time to get corms and bulb orders done for next year too.
But I’ve still some plants that need planted out for this year’s flowers.
The drying of flowers has already started for all the autumn winter weddings and projects.
But for today, we’ll aim to get all plants in the ground and hopefully the rain passes by!

Cow Parsley!!
Many people may think of this as a w**d and indeed it can take over especially in field margins and roadside verges, but don’t be quick to disregard it, have a think about it…..
Not all of us are fortunate enough to live in the countryside….. those who live in larger towns or cities love the look of the country and try to create the look at many weddings and events , spending vast amounts of money.
We also grow many cultivated forms of wild flowers including various forms of Cow Parsley all to give us that Queen Anne Lace style and many bouquets have a lace type flower in them, so why not use it when it’s in such abundance during the month of May and I’ve said before Nature does it best!
Many, many years ago I remember an aunt of mine who had a beautiful garden and used the flowers from her garden for church flowers when it was her turn on the Rota. I remember vividly her using cow parsley in through the flower arrangements, that was back in the early 80’s!!
So please don’t reject the cow parsley, don’t reject the dandelions or the buttercups. All are great for our pollinators and beautiful. Wouldn’t the countryside look very bare without them.
Last week in the Month of May I did just that. I cut loads of cow parsley and conditioned it properly and used it at the entrance to the church along with birch trees. It gave the perfect impression of an English Countryside wedding. And as each May comes and Rebecca sees the cow parsley blooming in the fields and on the roadsides she will be reminded of that beautiful day in May 2026 when she and James got married, and I think that’s just lovely ☺️
It blooms just once a year and then it’s gone so let’s just appreciate the seasons as they come and go both in life and in nature. Take nothing for granted and be content.
Here ends the lesson! 💕 🤣🌿
