The Bainbridge Doghouse Art Studio I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and it's something that I've always loved.

I started taking commissions roughly 10 years ago, initially for pets, then children, adults and then lions (that's a story for another time though).

I've mentioned a few times, and it's time to let the cat out of the bag. I was asked to be the featured artist for September using some very strange and messy graphite putty. Still in shock about it but here we are. I created the portrait of Milo for the box, and decided to have another play with the supplies today, and went with Ben Affleck as Batman.

Thought I'd pop in to disturb your day! It's been a while, but this is what I've been working on in the background. These are all trading card size portraits, Gandalf would've been here too, but he sold before I decided to scan them all! These are all on sale on my ebay page if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings.

It's been ages since I drew something just for the sake of trying something out. When we went to the zoo at the start of the month, I decided to have a go at drawing a bird, since there were so many beautiful ones to see there. I loved the green on this common Emerald dove, so I got the pastel pencils out, and well, here we are. I really enjoyed trying something different.

The news about Tim Curry really got to me today, so here's a portrait I did some time ago of him as Pennywise. Surprised to find I didn't have a Frank-n-furter so I really should do something about that.

Here are all of my pieces for box number 130. This has to be in my top five boxes so far, and using these charcoal supplies from featured artist .charcoal has unlocked a new level in portraits for me. Here's to box 131!

box 130 has the featured artist .charcoal and some gorgeous charcoal based materials. I've never used charcoal before as I'm more of a graphite type of person. I really enjoyed using these, and will definitely carry on! I totally ignored the prompt which was Head in the Clouds, and will probably do the same for anything else I draw, because that's just how I roll!

No new art, but a new toy! I've finally been able to get my hands on an A3 scanner/printer, so I've been spending to time this afternoon scanning some old pieces and thought I'd throw them on here. Hope you like them. I'll be sharing some of my mini art cards soon too.

A commission piece that was completed and handed over a fair few days ago, and being the idiot I am, I forgot to ask if I could share her to you lovely people. Memorial portraits always bring out that little bit more in me, work wise, and this was no different. Meet Boo, who was commissioned by Matty Davies. Thanks for trusting me with this one.
Equipment used: Pro-Use 171 mechanical pencil, Pearl pencil, Grip Plus 0.7 mechanical pencil and Pitt Graphite Matt pencils, and mono eraser, drawn on a4 220 gsm cartridge paper.
