Choose from my gilhoolie fabric, provide your own or let me help you source the right one to go with your interior. Then I’ll make you a lovely lampshade that you can’t buy in the shops – from stunningly simple drum lampshades to more traditional, empire handstitched lampshades.

Our Story

Hi, I’m Julie Gardner, a bespoke lampshade maker, living in Maidenhead, Berkshire with my lovely husband, two crazy boys and a cute miniature schnauzer called Arthur. I have trained in Interior Design and love nothing more than sourcing fabrics and accessories to complement a scheme (even better, to make a lampshade or two with!) We offer a bespoke lampshade design service to clients and Interior Designers looking for the perfect lampshade for their home.

Each of our lampshades is lovingly hand-made using your own fabric or one chosen to match a scheme. (If you need help choosing fabric just get in touch and we can help source the right one for a small charge). Since our lampshades are all bespoke, you can also choose the size of your lampshade, from a diameter of 15cm to 100cm.

We can make all sorts of shape lampshades; from the standard straight and tapered empire drum to rectangular, oval or square. Various linings are available too – embossed gold, copper, silver and champagne, or you can choose to line the lampshade with fabric. Diffusers can be supplied for ceiling shades if needed.

Do you own a lampshade you love the shape and size of but the outer fabric is worn or faded or not your taste any more? Or a lampshade with a non-standard fitting? No problem – we can recover it for you, adding new fabric to the existing frame and giving it a new lease of life. Just send us the dimensions along with a photo of the existing lampshade and we’ll advise you and send a quote.
