This beautiful reclaimed brick herringbone paving proves that hard landscaping can be just as impactful as planting.

The mix of warm reds, soft browns and charcoal tones creates incredible depth and character, while the herringbone pattern adds movement and timeless appeal.

It’s a great reminder that the best materials aren’t always the newest ones. Sometimes age, texture and imperfection create the most beautiful results.

Project ✨ Utility Room Transformation ✨

What was once a tired downstairs WC and storage space has been completely reimagined into a hardworking, multifunctional utility and shower room.

The brief was to maximise storage, improve functionality and create a contemporary scheme that felt cohesive with the rest of the home.

Key design features include:

▪️ Custom-built cabinetry above the window, making use of every inch of otherwise wasted space
▪️ A practical utility area with generous worktop space and integrated storage
▪️ A full shower room, creating a versatile guest and family-friendly space
▪️ A contemporary monochrome palette, balancing practicality with style

One of the biggest design challenges was the existing plumbing layout. The WC could not be relocated away from the direct sightline from the hallway and kitchen. To minimise its visual impact, we created a clever optical illusion by housing a black toilet within bespoke black cabinetry and pairing it with a black door and dark wall finishes. The result? When the door is left open, the WC visually recedes into the background rather than becoming the focal point.

Proof that thoughtful design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about solving problems creatively and making every square metre work harder.

Project: Presentation boards are a key part of the design process, helping to communicate not only the practical elements of a scheme, but also the atmosphere, materiality and overall character of a space before installation begins.

For this courtyard garden concept, the boards explored both planting and material palettes inspired by the timeless qualities of Arts & Crafts gardens — balancing structure, softness and functionality within a compact multifunctional layout.

The planting scheme focused on restrained layers of whites, soft pinks, lavenders and evergreen structure to create calm, cohesion and year-round interest, whilst carefully maintaining openness, circulation and accessibility throughout the courtyard.

Alongside the planting concept, the materials and finishes palette combined porcelain paving, reclaimed-style brick, timber detailing, slate accents and traditional craftsmanship references to create a garden that felt sympathetic to the barn conversion setting whilst remaining practical for modern family living.

Presentation boards like these help clients visualise how all elements of a scheme — planting, textures, materials, structure and atmosphere — work together cohesively long before construction begins.

Project: Planting design is about far more than simply selecting beautiful plants — it’s about shaping how a space feels, functions and evolves throughout the seasons.

These accompanying visuals were created to help communicate the overall character and atmosphere of the proposed courtyard garden scheme, illustrating how structured planting can soften architectural lines whilst maintaining openness, circulation and usability.

The design focused on a restrained palette of whites, soft pinks and lavender tones, layered with evergreen structure and seasonal interest to create a calm and cohesive environment across each garden zone.

Low-maintenance planting, integrated herbs, trained fruit trees and subtle planting between paving were all incorporated to balance practicality with softness, helping the garden feel inviting, textural and connected throughout the year.

Presentation boards are such an important part of the design process — they help bring together the overall vision, material palette and atmosphere of a scheme before the detailed design work begins.

For this contemporary multifunctional garden concept, the focus was on creating a space that balanced clean architectural structure with softer planting and relaxed outdoor living. Layered greenery, bespoke seating, integrated dining and feature elements were combined to create a garden that felt both functional and inviting throughout the seasons.

Materiality played a key role within the concept, with warm timber tones, textured planting and contemporary geometric detailing used to add rhythm, contrast and visual cohesion across the scheme.

The board also explored how zoning can help maximise usability within a compact footprint — creating dedicated areas for entertaining, relaxing, dining and evening ambience, whilst maintaining a calm and unified overall aesthetic.

Project: Rear Garden Elevation & Spatial Concept ✨

This elevation drawing formed part of a wider garden design proposal focused on strengthening the relationship between the house and outdoor living spaces.

The design introduced a layered approach to planting, seating and circulation, helping to soften the architectural lines of the property whilst creating a more inviting and functional environment for everyday use and entertaining.

Careful consideration was given to proportion, rhythm and visual balance across the rear elevation. Repeated planting beds and structured borders were used to frame the patio areas, whilst the combination of hard landscaping and softer planting palettes helped create a scheme that felt contemporary yet relaxed.

Integrated dining and seating zones were positioned to maximise usability and views back towards the garden, with outdoor lighting incorporated to extend the usability of the space into the evening and add warmth and atmosphere after dark.

Project: Garden Design & Planting Plan ✨

This garden concept was designed to create a practical yet inviting outdoor living space that balanced entertaining, relaxation and planting within a relatively compact footprint.

The layout focused on establishing clearly defined zones whilst maintaining strong visual flow throughout the garden. Dedicated areas for dining, lounging and quieter retreat spaces were carefully integrated alongside open lawn and planting areas to ensure the garden felt both functional and spacious.

A key part of the design process was considering how the outdoor space connected directly back to the house, allowing the patio and planting to feel like a natural extension of the interior living areas. Materials, circulation routes and sightlines were all carefully planned to create a cohesive and harmonious overall scheme.

The accompanying planting plan introduced structure, softness and seasonal interest through layered planting combinations designed to complement the architectural layout without overwhelming the space. A restrained palette of shrubs, ornamental grasses and flowering perennials was selected to provide texture, movement and year-round visual interest whilst remaining manageable from a maintenance perspective.

Designing both the spatial layout and planting scheme together from the outset helps ensure gardens feel balanced not only aesthetically, but also in the way they are experienced and used day-to-day.

Project: Multifunctional Living Concept ✨

This SketchUp concept was developed as part of a multifunctional interior design project focused on creating a flexible, cohesive living environment capable of supporting the many demands of modern family life.

The brief centred around designing a space that could comfortably accommodate relaxing, dining, home working, creative activities and entertaining, whilst still maintaining a calm and visually balanced aesthetic throughout.

Careful zoning played a key role within the design, helping define each functional area without compromising the sense of openness within the overall layout. Through the use of furniture placement, lighting, rugs, feature walls and built-in storage, each zone was given its own identity whilst remaining connected to the wider scheme.

The palette combined soft muted greens, warm natural woods, layered textures and contrasting black accents to create a contemporary interior that still felt warm, grounded and inviting. Bespoke storage solutions and integrated workspace areas were also incorporated to maximise practicality without sacrificing style.

One of the most rewarding aspects of 3D visualisation is the ability to fully explore how a space will feel before any physical changes take place — allowing both designer and client to refine layouts, proportions, flow and styling decisions early within the design process.
