Happy belated New Year!!
New and replacement stock is now landing thick and fast ready for the Spring.

More to follow over the coming weeks....

On a lighter note. I have managed to crack the tap on my rainwater tank. I have a new tap. However, the tank contains 1000 litres of water. Does anybody have any bright ideas of how my wife can swap this over without getting exceedingly wet?!!

Until next time.

Best Wishes

Dan

Morning All,

Whilst enjoying my morning coffee and a stroll through the garden it got me to thinking whether this is my favourite time of the gardening year.

All our hard work is now showing potential, yet further projects can still be found, any thoughts?

Anyway, the reality of work beckons. I will leave you to my musings......

All the best

Dan

Morning all,

I was asked a question yesterday by my eloquent 3 year old.

Daddy, why has the 'spitting' lion stopped 'spitting'?

My response went something along the lines of " Because, you, my friend diverted the water flow (as his sister had helpfully informed me) into a watering can to fill a water pistol. This in turn emptied said lion and the pump has now burned itself out!

My question to you, is this, with my eco hat on.

Said pump need replacing, I am looking at Solar/battery options. Does anybody have any experience with this kind of water feature set up and what are the drawbacks?

Have a great day

Project Poly tunnels continued with renewed vigour over the weekend. Still rough round the edges but we are trying to multi-task and finish off jobs whilst planting up.

Hopefully 2 more weeks will see the job tidied up and stage one of planting achieved.

Hope you all had a productive weekend!
Have a great day

For this weekends entertainment!!!

Many months ago upon the construction of our green house pad, I seemed to remember calculating extra area for the addition of water butts between greenhouse and polytunnel.

As luck would have it (I don't remember actually calculating this), 2 IBC containers fit perfectly, these linked together should in theory give us 2000l of capacity.

Just need a good rain now to test the theory.

Have a great day
