Of course, every sale makes us do a little happy dance, but there are 𝐒𝐎 many ways you can support your favourite small businesses without spending a single penny.

A follow, a like, a comment, sharing a post to your stories, leaving a review or simply telling someone ‘you need to check this person out’ genuinely makes a difference.

Social media can be an absolute nightmare for small businesses. We’re competing for eyeballs with huge brands, paid ads and approximately 47,000 videos of cats doing ridiculous things 😂

So when you engage with our posts, you’re not just being nice. You’re helping more people actually SEE our work.

And word of mouth? Still absolutely priceless!!

So if there’s a small business you love, give them a little bit of love today. It’ll cost you precisely £0, but I promise you, they’ll appreciate it more than you know.

Happy weekend 🥰

Old bones, completely reimagined 🖤

This beautiful antique Victorian parlour chair has been given a new brand look with a rich black high gloss finish and the glorious Morris & Co. ‘Seaweed’ fabric.

I wanted to keep everything that made the original chair special, while giving it a much more contemporary feel. The black brings those gorgeous carved details to life, while the bold botanical fabric and gold braid make her feel special.

A completely unique piece, designed to be noticed. Forming part of 6 unique dining chairs, I can’t wait to share the final pieces.

Commission books are open. If you have a piece you’d love reimagined, send me a photo 📸

This one is finally ready to get fully dressed 😍

Before the beautiful fabric goes anywhere near her, there’s a lot that happens underneath.

She was stripped right back, with every layer removed so I could rebuild the upholstery properly from the foundations up.

Luckily, I managed to save the old fabric to use as a pattern. Then came the new webbing, hessian, filling, shaping and all those little stages that will eventually disappear completely from view.

The fabric might be the bit you fall in love with, but it’s what’s underneath that gives a beautifully upholstered chair its shape, comfort and longevity.

And now all that groundwork is done, it’s time for the really exciting bit. The glorious Morris & Co. ‘Seaweed’ fabric 🌿

She’s finally ready for her finishing touches.

This is another chair in a line of six forming a beautiful dining set. I’ll be sharing more of that very soon.

Not every old chair needs reinventing. Sometimes it just needs restoration 🥰

This solid oak Victorian carver had everything I love about antique furniture. Beautiful craftsmanship, solid oak, carved detail and over a century of character.

Before the upholstery, the frame needed careful attention. It was fully stripped back, gently black washed to enrich the oak, and structurally repaired so it’s solid again for years to come.

Then I rebuilt the seat using traditional materials. Rubberised animal hair, hessian, cotton felt and wool batting, finished with calico and Morris & Co. ‘Seaweed’ fabric 😍

The result is a chair that hasn’t been made new, it’s just brought back to life in the way it deserves ❤️

Forming part of 6 antique chairs and a whole dining set, I can’t wait to share the final pieces soon.
