Today I visited my Grandad.
45 years ago fresh off the bins, he and my Granny set up .antiques With not a lot in their pockets other than proper Mancunian grit, they’ve gone on to build a remarkable business and reputation to match.
At about 5 years old, school holidays were spent at their first shop in Failsworth, with a can of polish, cloth and many many wagon wheels. Some of my best memories!
Watching my Grandad today, nearly 80, still lifting and carrying furniture, shipping containers all over the world makes me proud. Their Manchester spirit shines through and I really hope our customers who visit our Stanley Square Sale store have the same personal experience with us. Crafting products proudly made in Manchester, we hope we last the test of time too!
