We're celebrating this day by launching our bespoke wedding range of ethically produced jewellery and stationery. From the exhilarating moment of engagement to the special day, we'll work with you to create a unique range that reflects your personal journey.

💍Marking every step of the way, Carol will make your engagement and wedding rings, button hole brooches and napkin rings; all made from recycled gold and ethically sourced gem stones.
💌 Helena will create your stationery from Save the Date to Thank You cards and everything in between, working with you to choose eco-friendly papers to suit your chosen designs.

Helena has been busy prepping this field of tulip note cards which will be making their debut at The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. They will be sold to compliment Carol's sterling silver jewellery from our collaborations based on tulips. 💚 These note cards are made from 100% recycled card, envelopes from sustainable eucalyptus pulp, water-based inks and bound with h**p cord by Hemptique which uses environmentally friendly dyes. All of these materials are fully biodegradable and compostable. ♻️

We discovered that we had both been observing the ginkgo biloba trees in Manchester’s Stevenson Square. Carol has been sketching them and Helena photographing them through the seasons. They are such joyful plants with leaves that start life as a cheerful spring green to become a sunshine yellow in the autumn, and their shape is like a playful jitterbug skirt! More tulips, oh yes! For our third collaboration, we focused on the tulip head. We love watching the petals as they change shape; from sharp, upright forms that start to crinkle and curl as they relax. Helena photographed these tulips in her garden in Manchester, they were grown from bulbs that her parents bought in Amsterdam. Carol created this bold tulip head ring and drop earrings to celebrate the glorious tulip! 🌷🌷🌷

Welcome to Silver & Salt! We are the result of a natural collaboration between jeweller Carol Powell and photographic artist Helena Lee Studios.

Inspired by nature and connected by finding the essence of organic forms, we began work together in 2018. Our shared love of plants and landscape has generated a body of photographic art and etched silver jewellery which we will be sharing with you as our collections grow! 🌿💚
