Just finished the May bank holiday weekend working with our friends Comtec Presentations on the Afro Hair & Beauty Live 2026. The show was started 44 years ago in 1983. It started as a platform to help support Black British Culture & their businesses. We were there to help Comtec with the set up & operation of sound & lighting.

Not long to go and we’ll all be stood in a muddy field. Let’s hope not. Bring on the sunshine & the start of the summer ...

Lighting 16x Fusion 260ZR flown. 4x Fusion Spot 200 ground stacked. Chamsys QuickQ 20. The band played a great selection of tunes including all the Floyd classics. Lasers from Carl Bowden. Thanks to the in-house tech support for all their help.

Saturday night providing sound & lighting for Stax of Soul UK at the beautiful art deco building that is Stockport Plaza Theatre. PA system HK Audio Linear 5 with subs, bass & LTS tops. A&H SQ5 desk. Lighting 16x Fusion 260ZR flown in 2 rows of 8. 6x Chauvet Intimidators at the rear of stage. Chamsys QuickQ 20 desk. Thanks to all the in-house technical crew for their help & spot light duties. The band blasted out the all the big Soul & Motown numbers with tributes to the Blues Brothers & James Brown.
The audience were up dancing in their chairs & the sides. Fantastic night 😎
