The fundacio Miro Mallorca is a museum located in Palma, Mallorca dedicated to the life and works of the artist Joan Miro. It comprises a main building exhibiting over 6000 works which were donated by the artist, Miro’s studio Sert and the Finca Son Boter.

Miro’s “Sert-studio” was designed by Josep Lluís Sert, a good friend of the artists and representative of the modernist architectural movement. Sert with the help of Joan designed the studio to fit in with the terrains hillside terraces and colour palette.

The interiors of this unique building are designed in light, warm tones, with a dominant form of glass installation in pharmaceutical glass. The colour of the glass also creates a dialogue between the modern interior and the ochre facade of the existing building. The undulating texture of the glass reflects the shapes of the nearby river.
