Recent Work Update 👌

Here’s an update from one of our most recent flooring projects.

As always, we cover all aspects of flooring, but LVT has become a huge part of the work we do — and honestly, we can see why.

Whether it’s LVT plank, tile, laminate-style plank or our signature herringbone, we believe LVT is one of the most practical flooring options available today.

✅ Individual damaged or scratched planks can be replaced
✅ Ideal for busy homes, families and high-traffic areas

We personally recommend stick-down/dryback LVT wherever the application allows. Unlike a floating click system, the flooring is fully adhered to the prepared subfloor, giving a solid, stable finish. And if you ever damage a plank, it can usually be removed and replaced individually rather than having to dismantle a large section of the floor.

There are also considerations around wood-based products such as MDF, particularly when they are cut or sanded, as wood dust and formaldehyde exposure are recognised workplace hazards.

For us, it comes down to practicality, durability, appearance and value for money — and LVT ticks a lot of boxes.

Another successful after-hours project completed alongside our scheduled work this week.
This installation featured a premium LVT tile floor paired with a high-quality gel-backed carpet, creating a seamless finish throughout the property. The standout feature of this project was the bespoke handcrafted border, carefully designed, measured and installed entirely by hand to achieve perfectly symmetrical curves and flawless transitions.
Every stage of the installation was completed with precision, from the detailed layout and intricate border work to the final finishing touches. The attention to detail required for this type of craftsmanship cannot be rushed, and we're proud to deliver a finish that combines durability, functionality and exceptional visual appeal.
Working outside normal hours allowed us to minimise disruption for the client while maintaining the same high standards of workmanship we're known for. Another quality installation completed with care, precision and pride.

Gel-back carpet fitted, followed by Polyflor PUR throughout the main room and toilet areas.
All floors were plyboarded, but additional preparation was required before installation as the subfloor was not yet 100% ready for laying. We feather-finished all joints and applied extra feathering compound to bowed areas to create a smoother, more level surface.
Despite the extreme heat, the entire project was completed quickly, efficiently, and to a high standard in just 2 days.
