Budget options tend to wear, fade or lift within a couple of years, which means you're back to square one and paying for a full replacement sooner than you'd like.

Spending a little more upfront on something durable works out cheaper by year five, because it's still doing its job while the cheaper version has already been ripped out and replaced.

Diamond Flooring turned one 🥳

This time last year it was just an idea, a van, and a belief that choosing flooring shouldn't mean trudging round warehouses under fluorescent lighting. 1 year on, that idea's been through more front doors, hallways and staircases across Cambridgeshire than we ever expected this early on.

Every single one of those jobs started with someone taking a chance on a small, local company over the bigger names. That's not lost on us. Whether you've had us round for a full house refit or just asked a question about carpet versus LVT, you've been part of building this.

New floor, five minutes a week, still looking brand new 🧽

Nobody wants to spend their weekend babying a floor, and the good news is you don't need to. A quick sweep or hoover, a damp mop when needed and keeping grit from being dragged in on shoes will keep most modern flooring looking sharp for years.

LVT and laminate are especially forgiving these days, built to shrug off daily life without demanding constant attention. Carpet just needs a slightly more regular hoover and the odd stain treated quickly rather than left to set in.

The biggest mistake people make is assuming harsh chemicals or heavy scrubbing keep floors cleaner. Usually it's the opposite, gentle and consistent wins every time.
