Our Story

The Natural Workshop was set up in 2013 by Michelle in our garage. Child care was expensive and we needed a way for her to earn a wage whilst still being able to help raise our children. The business grew from strength to strength and in July 2017 we took on our fi

rst real business premises. Since then we have expanded and I left my full time job as a Surveyor in May 2018 to work full time as a partner in the business. We work hard to have the right work life balance between running a small business and being there for our children. Since opening our doors, we’ve been committed to providing service of the highest quality, paying particular attention to working efficiently while keeping the lines of communication with our clients clear and concise. We have a fully kitted out workshop and have years of woodworking experience, because of this we are able to give a well rounded approach to your product needs and fully understand how to approach your design ideas.

We work with private individuals, small and big businesses alike and we are happy to accommodate any sized order that you might have, from a single unit all the way up to 1000`s of units being required. Just over a year later... how did we do?

I went back to have a look at this sign recently, just over a year since we finished restoring it. Considering it sits out there 24/7 taking the full brunt of the British weather, and the summer and winter we've had, I'm genuinely really pleased with how it's holding up.

The Rubio DuroGrit has done an amazing job on the timber.
The Cerakote ceramic coating we used on the copper roof is still looking pretty much like the day we finished it too.

This was probably one of the most unusual restoration jobs we've taken on. Lots of repairs, plenty of head-scratching, and FAR too much time spent painting tiny crowns 😂

But I think the before, during, finished and one-year-later pictures speak for themselves.

For someone who posts 1000s of reels, you'd think I could take a better picture 🤣

Found this on my phone this morning, a little throwback to a 1.5" thick, 4' house sign we made for a customer just before Christmas.

I absolutely love how sharp those letters came out, especially considering they're machined straight into solid timber.

What do you reckon?
