Here we have a wonderful water colour by the 19th Century artist Frank Rousse 1897-1915, who specialised in Harbour Scenes usually including Sailing Ships prevalent around the turn of the 19th century. Some of his most popular subjects include Whitby Harbour and nearby costal scenes.
Frank Rousse was a Royal Academy Exhibitor twice and three times at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour
His paintings have sold at all the top Auction Houses such as Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Bonhams

This Painting was on exhibition in the Museum of Deal in Kent, Deal having a long history with the Military.
