***ART IN WINDOWS***

September in Market Harborough is all about culture with over 80 creative events and activities. We are delighted to have joined with for the Art in Windows. Over 40 local artists are displaying their work in 51 windows around town - we are no.15 on the map!

Emily is a mixed media artist, who's work is intertwined with her large scale textile pieces; she is inspired by a bird's eye view of the Earth's patterns, shapes and colours and we think she's the perfect fit for our windowsill!

You can view these pieces in our shop window at any time during September. If you come by whilst the shop is open we have leaflets with the trail map showing all participating businesses.

***IT'S ALL GO***

We've got a busy week ahead - and hopefully great weather so we can enjoy everything that's happening.

Our gorgeous shop is open and fully stocked with beautiful houseplants and stylish pots. You'll always find the best quality houseplants and whether you're buying for yourself or a gift, there's nothing we like more than helping you find the exact right plant and pot.

We'll be staying open a bit later on Thursday 02nd July - 10am-8pm, along with lots of other shops in town for the late night shopping event to celebrate our brilliant independent businesses. There'll be lots of treats and special offers and we'd love to see you.

On Sunday 05th July the centre of town will be packed with fabulous classic cars. Although the roads are closed you should be able to park fairly close and walk in to enjoy a really great day out. We'll have slightly extended hours, 10am-4pm.

Also on Sunday 05/07 at 3pm, we are running our brilliant Succulent Bowl workshop. There are spaces still available - message to book or check online.

***THE WORST & THE BEST***

My Friday didn't go as planned; I was woken up to the notifications pinging on my phone from kind people letting me know my front door had been smashed in. It was pretty upsetting to get to the shop to find someone had broken in overnight, had a good look behind the counter and made off with the petty cash tin. Thankfully no plants were damaged.

There's a lot of admin that results from something like this and I'm lucky Mr windowsill helped get things moving. I had a visit from the Police forensics officer, so it was good to know this was being taken seriously.

And the best? I've been blown away by the kindness and support shown in person and on socials. From lovely hugs from Alison , coffee and security chat from my neighbours & , consolation snacks from and practical help from and wonderful Luke.

To the folks who patiently waited until I was able to open later in the afternoon and those understanding people who are coming back tomorrow and all of you expressing your support, those of you who popped in to check in with me - thank you.

Some days it's really hard running a tiny retail business by yourself. And some days you realise you're not by yourself at all.

Back OPEN tomorrow as usual, 10am-5pm.
