🏠 Two Rooms Now Completed! 🏠

That’s these two rooms now fully completed, with everything finished to a high standard.

🔹 Ceilings: Dulux Ultra Matt for a crisp, clean, anti-reflective finish.
🔹 Walls: Valspar Trade Tough Durable in Pure Brilliant White, giving a hard-wearing, durable finish with excellent coverage.
🔹 Woodwork: Two coats of Caparol Haft Primer, followed by two coats of Dulux oil-based gloss in Pure Brilliant White for a smooth, hard-wearing finish.

Another couple of rooms transformed and ready to be enjoyed! 👌🏻

As always, preparation and attention to detail are key to achieving the finish we aim for on every project. 🎨

The walls are now fully completed in both rooms, finished in Valspar Trade Tough Matt – Pure Brilliant White 🤍

This was our first time using this particular paint, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with it. The opacity and coverage are spot on, giving a lovely, even finish across the walls.

The woodwork is also progressing nicely and is now ready for its final preparation. We’ll be giving everything one last pad over using a 600-grit sanding pad to achieve that smooth, refined surface ready for the finishing coats.

Another step closer to bringing this project over the line! 👌🏼🎨

MIDWAY THROUGH THIS WEEK’S PROJECT 🏠🎨

We’re now midway through this week’s project and making great progress.

All of the walls and existing woodwork have been thoroughly sanded back to achieve a sound, suitable surface ready to receive the new coatings. As always, the preparation is taking priority to ensure we achieve the best possible finish.

The ceilings are now completed, giving us a great foundation to work from.

The woodwork has now received two coats, followed by detailed filling using wood filler to eliminate imperfections and provide a smooth, uniform surface. We’ve paid particular attention to the areas around the door hinges and keeps, ensuring these areas are properly filled and finished rather than simply painted over.

The new doors have also received their first two coats of undercoat, with the edges of the doors being carefully sanded and filled to eliminate any rough or uneven edges. This attention to detail will help ensure the finished doors have a crisp, smooth appearance once the final coats are applied.

There’s still plenty to do, but the preparation work is really starting to bring everything together.

It’s all in the preparation — taking the extra time now to eliminate imperfections is what helps achieve that high-quality finish. 👌🎨

Downstairs WC Wallpapering

A recent downstairs toilet transformation, wallpapered using a stunning paper supplied by the customer. 🐘🌿

This bold safari-inspired design has completely transformed the space, with the deep background and detailed animal print creating a real statement.

The walls were carefully prepared before hanging the paper, with particular attention to the numerous corners, window reveals, door openings and awkward areas within this compact room. The pattern has been carried through consistently around the room to give a clean, seamless finish.

A challenging space to paper, but one that has made a huge difference to the finished room. 👌

✨ JOB COMPLETE! ✨

Our second job of the week is now complete — and what a lovely little girl’s room ready for her to come home to after her holiday!

As always, we started by preparing all surfaces properly, sanding everything back using our dustless sanding setup to create the best possible finish while keeping the mess to a minimum. 👌

🎨 The finish:
• Ceiling — Dulux Ultra Matt, an anti-reflective ceiling paint
• Walls — Johnstone’s Durable Matt (apologies, we’ve forgotten the colour name! 🤦‍♂️)
• Woodwork — Crown Fast Flow Eggshell in a crisp Brilliant White
• Feature wall — Beautiful wallpaper supplied by the customer 🌸

Another transformation completed to our usual clean, professional and high-standard finish, with plenty of attention to detail throughout. 💯

We hope she loves her new room when she gets home!

Another project completed this week 🎨

One of multiple jobs completed this week, and it was great to be back with a returning client to transform their kitchen/diner.

As this is a new-build property, there were a few areas of movement cracking that needed addressing. We prepared these properly before filling and caulking where required. All surfaces were thoroughly sanded back using our dustless sanding system, creating a smooth, sound surface ready for decoration.

We also removed all failing caulk from the woodwork and repaired it correctly rather than simply painting over the existing issues.

☀️ Ceiling: Finished in anti-reflective paint, ideal for this room with its abundance of natural light.

🎨 Walls: Farrow & Ball Mizzle, colour matched into Crown Clean Extreme for a durable, hard-wearing finish.

🪵 Woodwork: Undercoated using Caparol Haftprimer. This is my go-to primer/undercoat on the market, with fantastic opacity and flow.

The woodwork was then finished in Crown Fast Flow Gloss – White, leaving the kitchen/diner with a clean, crisp and durable finish.

Another project completed with our usual focus on preparation, attention to detail and achieving a high-quality finish.

Another bedroom completed this week, transformed from a dark grey colour scheme to the beautiful Farrow & Ball Dimity, colour matched into Dulux Heritage Velvet Matt for a soft, elegant finish.

🛠️ Preparation is key to a high-quality finish:

✔️ All walls filled and gaps caulked to create a smooth, sound surface ready for decorating
