Another fossil brought to life! This beauty is a Crinoid (Sea Lily). The longer feather-like stitches on the "arms" are created using a form of Tunisian crochet, where many stitches are gathered on the hook, secured and then "dropped off" the hook a couple at a time, somewhat akin to knitting. These arms are crocheted around plastic tubing to provide some structure and prevent them from simply curling up on themselves.

The Mellor Arts Fair was such a lovely first outing for WKDWOOL, thank you to everyone who supported me along the way! It was special to see so much of my work displayed together. I had some lovely feedback and even made some sales! It's ridiculous how pleasing it is when somebody else likes your creation too ☺️
