The Stove Industry Association are raising awareness of how we can burn better and have useful guidance we should follow

Air quality matters. How we burn matters too.

Air pollution is a serious issue – and domestic wood burning is part of that conversation.

But it’s important to recognise that not all wood burning is the same. Emissions vary hugely depending on:

🔥 the choice of appliance
🔥 the fuel quality
🔥 how the stove is used
🔥 how well it’s maintained

That’s why the Stove Industry Association focuses on best practice – helping households reduce emissions through better choices and better use. A focus that has helped to reduce emissions of PM2.5 and PM10 from domestic combustion by 17% between 2020 and 2023*.
