Some keepsakes tell a story far bigger than the fabric they're made from ❤️

Recently, I was asked by Barbara to create a memory bear in honour of her dear friend and colleague, Gill.

Gill was a much-loved member of the Netherhall School community and someone who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Barbara shared with me that Gill absolutely loved leopard print and was rarely seen without wearing it somewhere.

Among the clothing Barbara brought to me was one of Gill's favourite jackets. She asked if I could create a miniature version of the jacket for the bear, preserving a little piece of Gill's personality and the style that made her instantly recognisable to those who knew and loved her.

Recently, Barbara sent me a photograph of the bear sitting proudly on Gill's office chair.

Seeing that photo reminded me why I do what I do.

Keepsakes aren't just made from clothing. They're made from memories, stories, friendships, laughter, and love.

Thank you, Barbara, for allowing me to play a small part in preserving such precious memories.

It's been a little quiet over here lately, but I wanted to pop on and remind everyone that the keepsake side of the business is still very much active and keeping me busy behind the scenes ❤️

Over the past few months I've been putting a lot of time into growing the embroidery side of my business The Crafty Butterfly Workwear & Uniform, but alongside that I've still been creating memory bears, keepsake cushions, and special embroidered pieces for customers.

For over 13 years I've had the privilege of turning treasured clothing and fabrics into keepsakes that help preserve precious memories, and that part of my business remains just as important to me today as when I first started.

I'm also excited to be growing my embroidered keepsake range, from baby-grow sweatshirts and pet portraits to photo embroidery pieces that tell a story in stitches. (👀 watch this space)

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust me with your precious memories. I can't wait to share more of what I've been working on with you over the coming weeks.

Morning all ☀️

I’ve had quite a few new followers recently, so I just wanted to say a little hello—and reassure you that I’m still very much busy creating keepsakes🧸💖

Alongside growing my The Crafty Butterfly Workwear & Uniform page, my keepsake work remains such a special part of what I do. Every piece I create holds so much meaning, and that will always be at the heart of my business ✨

This bear is a lovely example of how different materials can be used—it was created using a leather jacket, which gives such a unique and lasting finish.

No two bears are ever the same, and that’s what makes them so special 💖

An exciting delivery 🚚 today! I'll be checking the ring doorbell app constantly 🫣🤣

Sometimes my little memory bears do look like they’re about to go in for surgery 🏥🧵😄

This little one has now found their forever home 💖 It was such a joy to carefully assemble and stitch them together with lots of love.

Even if my workspace sometimes looks a little like a hospital bed, I promise every bear is in very safe hands! 🥰
