Good Morning,

We had a lovely social group on Saturday and one of of wonderful ladies even baked cakes (early as it was the last social for a few weeks) for the shops birthday! Thank you so much Lindsey, they were lovely.
I got a 50p box out on the counter and no doubt it will keep being added to as the sort out continues! So do come in for a rummage - lots of haberdashery items in: pins, threads, some wonder web strips etc and loads more!
There’s only 2 of the £5 diamond art card kits left too. So if you wanted one, do call in asap.

I’m making my way to the shop in a few minutes and will be open until 2:30pm 😊

Good Morning,

I’m missing a photo but what a lovely finger knitting class yesterday. All completed by the end and a new technique added to everyone’s CV!. Well done ladies 💖
Today we have social Saturday while I’m also continuing the sort out. I have found so many bits and bobs, so expect a 50p box coming out soon (if I can sort it for this morning then I will do!) There’s a method in my madness with this, but you will see why…..hopefully soon!

Open until 1pm today and given I didn’t have last Sunday off, my plan this weekend is to catch up at home too! 🙈
Of course there will be crafting on the agenda and I hope there’s a bit of crafting in your weekend too. 😊

Good Morning,

I do not have a single photo of anything new yesterday as we spent an additional 4 hours in the shop trying to sort out behind the counter…….! It’s a very, very, very long process! But it is starting to look soooooo much better (Thank you Mr H!) I haven’t even got to ‘under the counter’! 🙈
But this is why we needed yarns out it one side collected or they were going out, so they are going back as very few have been collected.
There’s more renovations afoot but they can wait until next week as today we have the Finger Knitting Workshop from 10am!
It is also social Saturday tomorrow, so do remember to book in if you wish to join us 😊

Open until 2:30pm and then I am leaving immediately as I’m so behind on paperwork 😳

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for the feedback on the luxury yarns yesterday, it has helped make a few decisions……adding to the mountain of decisions to be made at the moment!
After we closed the shop yesterday and hot footed it off to Ikea and we have a way forward with a few bits around the shop and make a start on future developments…..watch this space!
But it does mean we are going to be finishing with quite a few items we stock in the shop while we make room for other bits, starting with the Bree Merryn diamond art kits. These are now only £5. I have taken a photo of a handful of them but there’s a few more dotted around the shop. These are all cards so will add a lovely personalise touch for the receiver 😊

We are open until 2:30pm today but are likely to be hiding in the background before opening and after closing for a few days! So do give us a knock if the gate is open as we will be in!
We have Thursday class from 10am as normal.

I had a very productive meeting yesterday, so now I need to know how to make a few changes in the shop …….research pending!

How do you feel about more ‘luxury yarns’?
I have a few of these on their way to me but the range is quite extensive! I have reigned myself in otherwise I would just buy them for me!. The range consists of neon to muted and variegated as well as plain and from £13 - £19 per 100g Hank as they are a combination of merino, alpaca and silk. Is this the sort of more luxury yarn you would like to purchase? Let us know 😊 message or comment on here.
(None of our other yarns would be going, this is an addition to existing ranges)

Good Morning,

The remnants box is restocked, fat quarters are filled up, £8 per metre fabrics box filled up and the yarn shelves have been topped up! Quite a successful day yesterday while ordering some new Rico stock too 😉 Today I have another rep in and I’m hopefully it’s a very successful meeting as this will mean a big change for us 🤞

This morning we continue with the squares class. More of the same ones are being made to get up to quantity with what people need for their project. I will get pictures as these start being put together.

I’m in early to get another customer job done, so just give me a knock. But we will be open until 2:30 😊

Good Morning,
We had such a fun stick and stitch session yesterday. So much so, the stitching didn’t actually get done on the picture and just the practise pieces! But everyone was so creative with their pictures making new additions to the original idea and playing around with colours! I will post updated photos as and when these come in. But don’t worry, there will be more of these sessions!

Today is a little back to normal for the Cumbrian weather! We are open until 2:30pm for you to come in and stock up for the wet weather crafting. We are full to the brim with yarns, fabrics, ribbons, craft kits and everything in between!
We don’t have a class in today so I’m hoping for a bit of sorting out, but we have a class in all week after today including the finger knitting again on Friday, There’s a couple of places left so do contact us to book in 😊

Good Morning!

Something a little different today as we are OPEN 11am - 2pm
We have a Sunday sewing session in the shop learning appliqué and free motion sewing and Mr Handmade is off work to open the shop up for you!

So if you are in town, in desperate need of something to do, missing something for your Sunday project or it’s the only day off you have and can finally pay us a visit, then call in!
While in town, the makers market is also on at the harbourside events space as well as other fabulous shops such as the newly awarded thethreefrogsmaryport, essencewellnesscumbria and more! 😊
