My Whale Family paper piecing pattern enlarged to 30x30 inches. My customer Judi shared so much of her paper piecing journey with me - she created this quilted blanket for her friend's baby. I love the waves border that she designed - truly sets it off! Judi left a review on my Etsy page back in March, but we're unable to add to it - so hence the photo posted below.

At last, here is the quilt I made for my dear young friend Jake Perry for his 21st birthday. He is an AVID Dr Who fan, and the research and design stages have been on the go since he turned 18! 😅 This had to be special and personal, so when I happened upon website doctorscotgallifreyan.com, I knew I had found the finishing touch. Graphic artist Brittany G has designed a visual circular Gallifreyan language system based on the IPA. This will all make sense if you are a Dr Who fan! On one side of the quilt it says: "Happy 21st Birthday Jake!" (in Gallifreyan). Incidentally, there are over 50 'rings' which were topstitched twice (inner and outer edges); the 'concentric squares' is my own foundation paper piecing design, created and stitched on one piece of paper the same size as the quilt (60x80 inches/150x200cm). The best way to get all that paper and fabric through the sewing machine was to balance the lot on my head! 🤣

Eye-Spy With Love Quilt for my cousin May's special birthday.
Lap quilt, 48x60", on point with sashing one side box squares on other. Free motion quilting on my domestic machine. Love how it turned out, as it is full of fabrics from previous projects, as well as personal favourites 🥰 HB May!😍

My "cornerpoint" quilt made from a total of 10 shirts, in memory of Berni's husband Stew. Love the play of lights, mediums and darks as well as the rosy pinks.

Reuse and repurpose... machine and hand sewing to get these new covers on our 'Sound of Music' outdoor chairs - the covers made using old curtains! 😅

Hello Fabric Guild Friends,

I thought I'd send you a few photos of the "Quiet Book" I made for my grandson Asher with the A-Z Animal Panel purchased from Fabric Guild last year (on a whim). Although it took a while to make - the binding alone took days to do! - it was great fun and it is well-loved.
