(Ham & Haddock… apparently!) First of all… Paps came up with the title for this one!!! A few days ago, Paps bought a 2.5kg gammon from Lidl because it was on special offer. Now, 2.5kg of gammon for just the two of us was… optimistic. Unsurprisingly, we had quite a bit left over. We worked our way through the usual options - sandwiches, gammon, egg & chips - but still had some lingering in the fridge....

Mother’s Day Leftovers

As usual, the family decided they’d all like to get together for Mother’s Day… and that I should cook! But this year I had some help from the lovely Caroline (mum of my daughter’s boyfriend). I’m looking to start offering locally sourced venison, prepared from deer that have been responsibly managed and butchered locally. Chinese Fakeaway

I love this plate of food! Crispy chilli beef was always one of my favourite dishes, back in the day when we ordered takeaway! I made this one with venison simply because we have so much of it but a cheap cut of beef will fit the bill here. I did this with a basic stir-fry, but it works really well with fried or plain boiled rice. This will freeze BUT it won't be crispy when you re-heat it. Enjoy, Jam Jam ### 💛 Show me the Beef!
