Seasoned wood logs are now the cheapest domestic heating fuel, costing households 74% less per kWh than electric heating and 21% less than gas heating. Using a modern wood burning stove also costs 29% less to run than an air source heat pump*.

We had a Capital Avebury stove installed on Monday this week and we are so pleased with it. Andy the fitter worked incredibly hard all day on his own, including removing a pile of birds nests, moss, etc, in the sloping part of the flue, and even did a sweep and camera survey. He also suggested reducing the size of the hearth slab which has given us about 2 extra square feet of floor space. And thank you so much for sending over both colours of hearth stone for us to chose from on site. All rubble and debris was removed, so just a bit of hoovering and wiping down and we are all set for cosy times!
