That moment… when someone says
“Surely you’ve got enough craft supplies now?” 🙃
Meanwhile me, already adding more fabric to basket, eyeing up another project bag and convincing myself I definitely need that new needle minder. 👀🧵
Craft maths works differently and I will not be taking questions at this time. 😂
What’s your version of the “eye roll” moment?
✨ “You can make that yourself.”
✨ “Another hobby?!”
✨ “But you already have yarn/fabric/thread…”
Enable each other in the comments. 😌👇

The sound of fresh cuts, neat edges, and a little bit of craft room calm ✂️📄

No talking, no chaos… just the oddly satisfying sound of paper being cut ready for another handmade creation.

Anyone else find this kind of thing ridiculously relaxing? 👀

Back to slow mornings, a proper cuppa… and feeling human again ☕️
I’ve been a bit quiet after an operation, but I’ve taken the time I needed to heal.
I’m easing back in — and I’ve really missed this 🧵
(Don’t worry… crafting content is coming back next 👀)

New product in the making...
For today it’s thread chicken on the sewing machine while stitching up the handles that will eventually carry someone’s lace pillow.
It’s the little steps that nobody really sees — threading the machine, cutting strips, sewing long seams — but they’re the bits that turn fabric into something useful.
And yes… I did win the thread chicken. Just. 🧵🐔
What are you working on today?

One of the things I love most about hand-dyed fabric…
no two pieces are ever identical.
Every swirl, shade, and colour shift happens in the dye bath – which means the piece you stitch on is completely unique.
Some have soft clouds of colour.
Some have bold marbling.
Some have those little surprises you only notice once you start stitching.
It’s like giving your project its own personality before the first stitch even goes in.

Some stitchers travel light.
A needle, a couple of pins, maybe a threader… job done.
Others?
Well… we like options. Different needles, spare pins, a few “just in case” bits tucked away.

That’s exactly why I make two sizes of needle book.
🪡 Small – perfect for the essentials.
🪡 Large – for the crafters who like a little more space to organise their tools.

Both keep your needles, pins or even safety pins safe, tidy, and exactly where you need them when inspiration strikes.
So tell me…
Are you Team Small or Team Large?

My favourite part.

This looks simple… but it’s my favourite place of the whole process.
The part where patience matters, and every stitch counts.
Would you rather make something like this —
or use it once it’s finished?

A little thing that makes stitching calmer.
I make needle books because I like my tools to work with me, not against me.
No rummaging. No lost needles. No “how did that end up there?” moments.
Just a simple, handmade place for pins, needles, and thread — so you can get on with the stitching you love.
If you’re someone who appreciates small details and well-made essentials, you’ll feel right at home here 🩷🩵

Shhhhhh…
Sunday recovery mode activated.
A lovely birthday celebration last night means today is all about quiet, comfort, and taking things slow.
Sometimes rest is the plan 💜
