The only way I’ve been able to cope with today & the kind of hideous news appearing on my feed is to withdraw into my crochet as it stops my mind dwelling on things I wish I hadn’t heard about. I’m so overwhelmingly heartbroken at the current state of our world 😔

I’m working on a heart cardigan & really looking forward to progressing it over the weekend & treating myself gently in the process 🖤

I hadn’t planned it but adding a crack through one of the hearts to represent its shattering felt pretty apt 💔

Product development day 🩷

A lovely client has booked me for a private workshop next month & I am finalising what we will make ~ a lot more goes in to workshop planning than you may realise 🥰

I need to make sure the item can be made in the allocated time, that the quantity of yarn (or fabric etc) required is within the price range for an affordable class and take copious notes. This alone can take over a day with the trial & error.

Once all that is sorted I need to take photos that appeal & entice, produce artwork for promoting it & then bang on about it so that people will book on! 🤣 And that’s just stage one

In most instances, the workshop will also become a kit in my Etsy shop & having run/tested it with actual clients, I can tweak the content or instructions in the places they may have struggled. Love my job 🩷

Fully in my bow era now that the tree is up!

Hand crocheted on a giant hook in 5 festive colours & available as singles or sets of 3 at a discounted price. My tree is 2m high & has 2 sets of white bows (so 6 in total)

Yarn is acrylic, so vegan friendly & each bow has a metal ring fixing on the back for hanging 🎄🧶🎀😍

Winter snowflake blanket update ❄️🤍🩵💙🩶

Sad news my lovelies; we were due to launch the brand new winter snowflake granny squares blanket this weekend at the Melton Mowbray Christmas market but alas we can not 🥹

The yarn manufacturer is having supply issues & so it would be futile to launch a product that I can’t fulfil orders for. I can’t express how disappointed I am after having put in so much hard work over the last few months but sometimes you just have to flow with the lows 🫠😢

On the plus side, at least I’ll be ahead of the game for next year!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

In the meantime, do enjoy these gorgeous icy chilly blues ❄️🤍🩵💙🩶❄️

What a fabulous way to spend a miserable Sunday ~ the annual craft along at the movies here at our local independent cinema, The Regal 🎟️

I was promoting the Get Smitten workshops alongside 3 local yarn businesses in Melton, & both in Oakham 🧶

The film this year was Mama Mia; the lights are up so we can see our work, we drink tea/coffee and we eat cake. We also might be caught doing a little singing!!

Huge thanks to Jess and the for another brilliant experience. More please!! 🥰
