We have had positive feedback from the conservation officer for this one of kind build. DB Space have been appointed for the build of this stunning building that will be oart of a regeneration of a losted folly. All being well we will receive a positive outcome from planning in the coming months wothnplans to start in mid summer.

An exciting project for us working in collaboration with an incredible architect and local craftsman that will be carrying the restoration of the folly.

We kind acceot any projects from developers, architects and project managers who are looking for an economical friendly build partner who's systems can work in cohesion with complex planning stipulations and conservation areas. Although we did not design this building we did provide the building control package, visual renders and video flythough to assist with the planning application.

If the project proceeds we will be working to tight regulations with the tree preservation consultant requirements to maintain ecology and protection of the surrounding areas.

This build would simply not be granted to be build with traditional methods.

We really enjoyed building this bespoke garden studio for the Heavy Spoilers YouTube channel 🎬

Our client needed a dedicated space for streaming, away from the distractions of a busy family home. We transformed an unused area into a high-performance studio, upgrading the insulation and soundproofing from our standard specification.

The result is a space that’s incredibly energy efficient, easy to heat, and delivers excellent sound quality thanks to the acoustic panelling we supplied and installed from Wood Up.

From Show Stand to Dream Garden Office in Otley

We first met John and Fiona at the Harrogate Homebuilding & Renovation Show in 2023. After taking home a brochure, John got in touch — looking to create a superior garden office that would allow him to work from home full-time.

After researching several companies, he decided DB-Space Modular offered exactly what he was looking for — quality, design, and efficiency.

Fast forward 12 months, and John now works four days a week from home in his bespoke garden office — a dream come true! Following a full garden makeover, the property has even been revalued, with every penny spent (including fixtures and fittings) adding full value back into the home.

At first glance, this is just a dining extension. But in truth, it’s far more than that. Liam and Roxy’s original dining space sat awkwardly between the kitchen and snug – practical, perhaps, but never truly welcoming.

This new modular extension has transformed the way they live. It’s a room filled with light, opening onto the garden, a place where every meal feels like an occasion. The design is modern yet sympathetic, with careful choices in cladding and glazing that balance beauty, efficiency, and comfort.

It’s proof that even a modest addition, when done thoughtfully, can change the whole character of a home.
