Our guest bedroom was in need of a refresh, but instead of buying new furniture, I decided to upcycle some cherished family pieces using Frenchic Paint.
With a little preparation, a few coats of paint, and plenty of patience, tired-looking furniture was transformed into beautiful statement pieces that perfectly suit the room. The fresh colours of sage green, pinks & creams has brightened the space, while still preserving the character and memories attached to each item.
The makeover wasn't just about saving money—it was about creating a welcoming guest room filled with personality and family history. Upcycling is a fantastic way to reduce waste, be creative, and achieve a bespoke look that you simply can't buy off the shelf.
The room now feels fresh, cosy, and inviting, ready for family and friends to enjoy. Seeing these old pieces transformed has reminded me that sometimes the best furniture is the furniture you already own.
