One for the Plysu archeology file. This was on "Homes Under The Hammer" today in a kitchen area of an empty Methodist chapel in a village called Stanley in Derbyshire, which a couple converted into a stunning family home. I bet they threw it in the skip during the renovation! 😪

We have also heard of the recent (Sept '25) passing of Vera Karney who worked in the print room for many years. She was 89. Her husband Heinz was a Senior Engineer at Woburn Sands. He died some years ago, age 59. Our condolences to their family and friends. R.I.P

We are saddened to hear that Marcel Jenkins, who worked in the Raw Materials and Inspection Depts, and was also Manager of Plysu Football Club in the 1970s, died on Christmas Eve.
His funeral is tomorrow (Monday 26th January) at 3pm at Steppingley crematorium.
Our condolences to Marcel's family and friends.

Remembering the Plysu Housewares bathroom range. Bought from Ecko Plastics in the early 70s, it was a good seller, initially decorated with in-mould rose transfers, then updated to those awful 70s colours! Enjoy a bit of nostalgia!
