Flowers of the month…

Throughout August there continues to be an abundance of beautiful blooms to choose from for you special events. Hydrangea, roses all playing starring roles. However I thought I’d share some of the lesser used blooms, which may give you inspiration.

1) Sunflower - represents happiness, loyalty and adoration
2) Zinna - meaning endurance and lasting affection
3) Crocosmia - flower meaning passion
4) Rudbeckia - encouragement and motivation

This month there are a wide range of flowers available, but I’ve highlighted a few stand out varieties, that typically may not spring to mind when choosing your event flowers.

1) Delphinium or Larkspur - symbolises joy, big heartedness and lightheartedness.
2) Nigella or Love-in-a -mist - symbolises mystery, intrigue and love.
3) Dahlia- meaning inner strength, grace, change and lasting commitment.
4) Roses- emotion, beauty and devotion
5) Clematis- ingenuity and wit, intellectual beauty.

Tomorrow, Saturday 27 June will be the last opening of the cart until September. We are now in wedding season and I need to devote my time to upcoming events. I am still available for all your flowery requests just call, email or text and I’ll get back to you asap.

We will be open from 9am- 1pm, all plants are reduced and need to be sold. Drop by and pick up a

June Flowers of the month

Summer is in full swing now, and there is an abundance of gorgeous and romantic flowers to choose from, here are just a few for inspiration.

1) Delphinium - meaning joy, cheerfulness, and goodwill. Tall spears are ideal for tall designs
2) Foxglove - represents Intuition, romance, and deep spirituality.
3) Roses - Although available year round the summer brings particularly romantic blooms in almost all colours of the rainbow, meaning love passion and beauty. Each colour/shade has its own meaning.
4) Clematis- meaning mental beauty, ingenuity, and creativity. Perfect for use in arches, trailing bouquets, pedestals the list is endless for these gorgeous flowers.
